NBC Repurposes 'Bionic,' 'Life' on Sci Fi, Usa; Plus More Encores
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC will once again lean on its cable siblings - Bravo, Sci Fi and USA - to give viewers a second chance to see its fall newcomers.

This year however the Peacock has upped the ante by scheduling weekly encores of its two new Universal Media Studios-produced series - "Bionic Woman" and "Life."

Following its first-run Wednesday, 9:00/8:00c broadcast the former will replay that Friday at 7:00/6:00c on Sci Fi beginning September 28.

"Life" then, starting October 8, will encore at 12:00 a.m. EST on USA the Sunday night/Monday morning after its original Wednesday, 10:00/9:00c premiere. (The pilot will initially replay at a special night and time - Wednesday, October 3 at 6:00/5:00c.)

In addition, USA and Bravo will air special blocks on Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7, respectively (all times EST):

Saturday, October 6 on USA
1:00 p.m. - "Friday Night Lights" (201)
2:00 p.m. - "Chuck" (101)
3:00 p.m. - "Life" (101)
4:00 p.m. - "Life" (102)
5:00 p.m. - "Journeyman" (101)
6:00 p.m. - "Bionic Woman" (101)

Sunday, October 7 on Bravo
12:00 p.m. - "Chuck" (101)
1:00 p.m. - "Chuck" (102)
2:00 p.m. - "Journeyman" (101)
3:00 p.m. - "Life" (101)
4:00 p.m. - "Bionic Woman" (101)

Plus, look for additional pilot rebroadcasts of "Chuck" (Sunday, September 30 at 11:00/10:00c) and "Journeyman" (Thursday, September 27 at 7:00/6:00c & Monday, October 1 at 12:00 a.m. EST) on Sci Fi.

And if that wasn't enough, returning series "30 Rock" and "Friday Night Lights" will both be featured during mini-marathons on Bravo.

Six select episodes of "Rock" (103, 108, 112-115) will replay on Sunday, September 30 starting at 3:00 p.m. EST. Meanwhile, 11 episodes of "Lights" (101, 104, 108, 115-122) will be featured on Friday, October 5 starting at 8:00 a.m. EST as a build up to its second season premiere on NBC later that night.

Confused? As always, you can visit the listings pages for "30 Rock", "Friday Night Lights", "Chuck", "Journeyman", "Life" and "Bionic Woman" for a chronological listing of the replays.

And finally, as for "Heroes," the network isn't planning to regularly encore the series outside its original Monday, 9:00/8:00c airing. For the first several weeks however, NBC itself will rebroadcast the show on Saturday nights.
