AND THEN THERE WERE FOUR! -- JESSICA HUGHBANKS AND "AMERICA'S PLAYER" ERIC STEIN FALL VICTIM TO LAST NIGHT'S FIRST LIVE DOUBLE EVICTION OF THE SEASON FROM "BIG BROTHER 8"

Julie Chen Announces that the Next Eviction Will Take Place on Tuesday, Sept. 11 on the CBS Television Network

BIG BROTHER 8 is down to the final four players as two Houseguests fell victim to last night's first live double eviction of the season during an evening full of surprises. Jessica Hughbanks, by a vote of 2-1, and "America's Player" Eric Stein, by a vote of 2-0, were evicted from the BIG BROTHER 8 house.

Following their evictions Jessica and Eric were interviewed by host Julie Chen about their experience in the house. They join Dustin, Jen and Amber as the fourth and fifth jury members.

During last night's show, the Houseguests were shocked when they learned that the Head of Household competition, the nomination ceremony, the Veto competition and a second eviction would all take place within the one-hour live broadcast.

Immediately following the first eviction of the evening, the remaining Houseguests competed in a competition called "Before & After," in which Houseguests were asked questions about sequences of events occurring in the House and had to decide which event came "Before" or "After" the other event, to see who would become the next Head of Household. Dick Donato won and was told by Julie Chen to name the nominees. Dick immediately nominated Jameka and "America's Player" Eric for eviction. The Veto challenge, called "Niagara Balls," in which Houseguests had to collect and fill their container with only the green balls as over 5,000 balls rained down on them, followed. Zach Swerdzewski won the power of Veto and chose not to use it, leaving Jameka and Eric on the chopping block.

With less than two weeks left in the game, BIG BROTHER 8 is down to its final four players, Dick, Daniele, Zach and Jameka. On last night's show, Julie Chen announced that the next eviction will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 11 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. It will be up to the seven jury members to determine who will receive the grand prize of $500,000 on the live finale broadcast on Tuesday, Sept. 18 (9:00-10:00 PM). The final eviction will be broadcast on Thursday, Sept. 13 (8:00-9:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT).
