NEW YORK � September 10, 2007 � After two back-to-back nominations, "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," received its first Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality Program at the 59th Annual Primetime Creative Emmy Awards ceremony on Saturday, September 8th in Los Angeles. "I guess hell froze over, explains Griffin. "I have an A-List pass for a day [but] I will be back on the D-List tomorrow."

"We're simply thrilled for Kathy," said Lauren Zalaznick, President Bravo Media. "We may call the show D-List, but she's always been A-List to us and Saturday night confirmed it."

Additionally, Bravo's "Cirque" series picked up its fifth Emmy win on Saturday when "Cirque Du Soleil: Corteo" won for Outstanding Picture Editing for a Special. Previous wins were for "Cirque Du Soleil: Dralion" in the Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special, Outstanding Costume and Outstanding Directing Categories in 2001 and "Cirque Du Soleil: Fire" in 2003 in the Outstanding Nonfiction (Reality) category.

Griffin's show beat out "Antique Road Show," "Dog Whisperer with Cesar Milan," "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" and "Penn & Teller: Bullshit." In her acceptance speech Griffin said, "A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this. He had nothing to do with this�. this award is my God now." The only cable network to dominate this category, Griffin's Emmy marks Bravo's third win in five years for the Outstanding Reality Program category, ("Cirque Du Soleil: Fire" in 03 and "Queer Eye" in 04).

Bravo's recently completed third season of "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List" earned the series' best ratings across all key demographics � total viewers and the coveted adults 18-49 demographic. Season three increased over the season two average by 66 percent in A18-49 (630,000 vs. 379,000) and 58% among total viewers (855,000 vs. 541,000).
