Elvira Unveils the Final 13 Participants for Her FOX Reality Channel Original Series "The Search for the Next Elvira"

ELVIRA UNVEILS THE FINAL 13 PARTICIPANTS FOR HER FOX REALITY CHANNEL ORIGINAL SERIES "THE SEARCH FOR THE NEXT ELVIRA"

Los Angeles, Calif. (September 15, 2007) � Elvira, the Queen of Halloween, has selected 13 participants who will compete to become her surrogate handmaiden in the Fox Reality Channel original series "The Search for the Next Elvira." "Hundreds auditioned to become a handmaiden for little old me," said Elvira. "But only 13 had true T&A (talent and ability) and the others were told to Rest in Peace."

"The Search for the Next Elvira" premieres on the only all-reality, all-the-time cable and satellite network Saturday, October 13 at Midnight, immediately following the "Fox Reality Channel Really Awards 2007." Queen "B" Productions and Panacea Entertainment are producing The Search for the Next Elvira series exclusively for Fox Reality Channel in association with Natural 9 Entertainment ("Reality Remix," "Fox Reality Channel Really Awards").

Elvira will not be retiring her beehive and dagger following the conclusion of the show. She will be selecting a handmaiden to assist with the numerous requests she receives every year around Halloween. Elvira look-a-like judges, Christian and Patterson, will sit on the panel with Elvira to aid in her selection. Additionally, Kane Hodder from the "Friday the 13th" franchise and Academy Award � winning make-up special affects artist Rick Baker serve as judges as well.

The Fox Reality Channel original, "The Search for the Next Elvira" has been expanded into four, hour-long episodes during which contestants will compete to see if they can look the part, and present the same wit, poise and courage as the real Elvira in hopes of portraying one of Halloween's most recognizable icons. Following the double episode airing on Saturday, October 20, audience members can go to www.foxreality.com to vote for their favorite aspiring Elvira who will be crowned as the next "Mistress of the Dark" during the finale episode on Halloween. Voting will close on Monday, October 29 at 3:00 PM ET/12:00PM PT.

In late September, Shout! Factory will release six more films from Elvira's legendary television program, "Elvira's Movie Macabre," which launched her to national fame in the early 1980s. Six B-movie horror films featuring her original wrap-around segments will be released on three 2-DVD setsand will be in stores on September 25, 2007, just in time for Halloween and the original premiere of "The Search for the Next Elvira."
