JIMMY KIMMEL TO HOST THE "2007 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS" LIVE ON ABC, SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18
Dick Clark Productions and AEG Also Announce That a Limited Number of Unique Ticket Packages Will Be Sold to the Public
Dick Clark Productions, Inc. today announced that Jimmy Kimmel, host and executive producer of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," will return to host the "2007 American Music Awards," which will be broadcast live on the ABC television network SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT).
"I am thrilled to return as host of the �2007 American Music Awards,'" said Kimmel. "This is my fourth time hosting. My intent is to break Glen Campbell's all-time record of five. And his hip."
The American Music Awards, which is celebrating its 35th Anniversary, will be the first awards show and live broadcast event to take place in the newly constructed 7,100 seat state-of-the-art NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE, which is located across from STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles. Nominees and a number of confirmed performers for the "2007 American Music Awards" will be announced on Tuesday, October 9.
"Jimmy Kimmel is a wonderful comedian and terrific host. His unique brand of comedy is unpredictable, which always benefits the show. Limited Number of Ticket Packages Now Available
Dick Clark Productions and AEG today also announced that, for the first time, specially created ticket packages will be available to a limited number of ticket buyers who would like to experience the "2007 American Music Awards" as if they were one of the nominees or invited music industry executives. Several ticketing options are available, including the Platinum Package, which includes 10 premium tickets and access to the in-show VIP lounge, American Music Awards VIP post-party and gift bags. The Platinum Package entourage will also receive a special limousine package, which includes access to and drop off at the red carpet. The Gold Package includes eight orchestra level tickets and access to the American Music Awards VIP post-party, gift bags and special limousine access and parking.
