SCIFI.COM REPORTS A RECORD-BREAKING OCTOBER 2007
NEW YORK � November 21, 2007 � SCIFI.COM hit a new record in October with 3.4 million unique users, an increase of 15% as compared to the same month last year and 34% as compared to the previous month, according to SCIFI.COM's measurements. The world's largest genre entertainment Web site reports 2007 highs with double digit gains versus the prior month for page views with 29.9 million, visits at 5 million and video streams topping more than 3.1 million.
In October, SCI FI Channel pulled out all the stops with wall-to-wall Halloween programming including the second annual Ghost Hunters Live and 13 Days of Halloween marathon. In keeping with its commitment to provide viewers with immersive, full 360 entertainment experiences through digital technology, SCIFI.COM set new standards in audience interaction with the all-new "Interactive Headquarters" feature for Ghost Hunters Live. The Ghost Hunters section of SCIFI.com earned 2.1 million page views on Halloween alone, a new daily record, and 4.1 million for the month. The section hit a new record and increased page views by 57% year to year and more than triple the prior month.
In support of the November 24 airing of Battlestar Galactica: Razor, SCIFI.COM placed Razor Flashbacks on the Web site. These Flashbacks boosted the Battlestar Galactica video area up 375% from the previous month, representing 30% of the video usage of all SCIFI.COM video.
