A New Series Is Born on Discovery Health

DOCU-SERIES DELIVER ME CHRONICLES THE PRACTICE AND PERSONAL LIVES OF THREE L.A.-BASED OB/GYNS

SILVER SPRING, Md., Jan. 29 -- Complex pregnancies and high- risk births-these are worries for many parents-to-be, but they are everyday occurrences for Drs. Alane Park, Yvonne Bohn and Allison Hill. Discovery Health's new six-part docu-series, DELIVER ME, follows the careers and lives of these three dynamic women -- best friends who became partners in a demanding Los Angeles OB/GYN practice. In addition to their thriving careers, all three are mothers themselves, meaning each must juggle the pressures of delivering their patients' children with those of raising their own. Premiering Tuesday, March 4, at 10 PM (ET/PT), DELIVER ME gives viewers a behind-the-curtain peek at the professional and personal lives of these doctors, and the patients they treat.

Providing insight into some of the most relevant and dramatic issues facing pregnant women today, DELIVER ME showcases the work of Drs. Park, Bohn and Hill as they lend their care, support and expertise to the women and families who depend on them -- in good times and in bad. In the premiere one-hour episode, viewers meet patients such as Christia Karp, who learns that her unborn baby might have Down syndrome, and Ingrid Alamilla, whose dangerously high blood pressure forces Dr. Park to consider delivering her baby five weeks preterm. The drama is not reserved for the patients, however, as single mother Dr. Hill is forced to bring her children with her on weekend hospital rounds after her ex-husband reveals he cannot watch them. Later, audiences learn that all the time around expecting mothers has triggered anxieties for Dr. Bohn over her own ticking biological clock. The doctors have a particularly emotionally draining day when a longtime patient begins dilating at just 22 weeks -- too soon for her baby to survive outside the womb -- just as another patient's pregnancy is revealed to be ectopic and must be terminated.

Like many women today, the doctors' lives are a study in contrast, maneuvering between the demands of work and home life. Further blurring the lines between the two is the fact that all three doctors see themselves in each of the patients they treat. As all they approach and enter their 40s, the doctors continue to find their professional and personal lives intersecting, but through it all, DELIVER ME proves their passion and unwavering commitment is the gift they share with their families and patients alike.
