ABC Entertainment and TV Guide Announce Unique Promotional Insert for "Oprah's Big Give"
Copies of the February 25 issue will be polybagged with an ABC-branded packet of tissues.

ABC ENTERTAINMENT and TV GUIDE ANNOUNCE UNIQUE PROMOTIONAL INSERT FOR "OPRAH'S BIG GIVE"

Special Tissue Packets Celebrate ABC's "Feel Good Sunday" and Drive Tune-in to the Premiere of "Oprah's Big Give" and an All-New "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"

Packets Included in the February 25 Issue of TV Guide for 150,000 Subscribers in Select Markets

ABC and TV Guide magazine are giving fans special pocket-sized packets of tissues for all of those tears of joy they'll experience Sunday, March 2 with the premiere of "Oprah's Big Give" (9:00 p.m., ET) and an all-new "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (8:00 p.m., ET) on ABC. Copies of the February 25 issue of TV Guide will be polybagged with an ABC-branded/"Oprah's Big Give," "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" packet of tissues, which will be mailed to subscribers in select markets to coincide with the premiere.

"It's important for us to engage viewers in a fun and unique way that is directly related to our programming," said Michael Benson, executive vice president, Marketing, ABC Entertainment. "TV Guide was great to work with last fall, and going to them again made sense to reach our core audience and get them ready for our �Feel Good Sunday,'" added Marla Provencio, executive vice president, Marketing, ABC Entertainment.

"In anticipation of the season premiere of �Grey's Anatomy' last September, thousands of ABC-branded life-sized hospital gowns were polybagged in subscribers' issues in NY and LA," said Pete Haeffner, publisher, TV Guide. "We are delighted that ABC chose to partner exclusively with TV Guide again to promote �Oprah's Big Give' and �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.'"

About "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" � Sunday 8:00-9:00 p.m., ET/PT

The episode airing on March 2 features the Lucas Family and will include country singer Toby Keith. Michael Lucas is currently serving in the National Guard overseas in Iraq. He and his wife, Jean, have two children, Michael Henry and Joseph Nathan, who has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Less than a year ago Michael and his family bought a piece of land located on one of the most famous battlefields of the Civil War. Unfortunately, before Michael could finish building a home for his family, he was deployed to Iraq. Troubled by his unfinished home, Michael constantly worries that his family will not have a safe place to live. He also dreams of one day opening a public museum to showcase some of Virginia's notable history.

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," which has won back-to-back Emmy Awards as Best Reality Program (non-competitive), is in its 5th season on ABC. The program is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. Denise Cramsey is the executive producer. David Goldberg is the president of Endemol USA.

In eight one-hour episodes, a diverse, determined and competitive group of ten people are given the challenge of a lifetime -- to change the lives of complete strangers in the most creative and dramatic ways. In this intense competition, the contestants criss-cross the country, scrambling to find ways to impact the fates and fortunes of unsuspecting people who are in for the surprise of their lives. Fates will be changed in the blink of an eye as contestants race against time to create once-in-a-lifetime experiences and also give away hundreds of thousands of dollars. Who will be the lucky few to get a "Big Give"? And who will get all that cash?

Cast members for this series that the whole family can watch are host Nate Berkus and expert judges including world-renowned chef and philanthropist Jamie Oliver, NFL star and Boys & Girls Club Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez, and charity founder and wife of Chris Rock Malaak Compton-Rock.

"Oprah's Big Give" is executive-produced by Harpo Development in conjunction with Profiles Television Productions, LLC. Executive producers are Oprah Winfrey, Ellen Rakieten and Harriet Seitler. Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri � the creators and producers of the five-time Emmy Award-winning series, "The Amazing Race" -- are also executive producers for the series.
