BROTHERS & DETECTIVES (ABC, New!) - Daniel Cerone has booked a put pilot commitment from the Alphabet for a domestic take on the Argentinean sibling crime drama "Brothers & Detectives." The project is set up at ABC Studios where Cerone has an overall deal. Said hour centers on "a low-level paper-pusher in a homicide division who, following the death of his estranged father, finds out that he has a brilliant 11-year-old brother who loves solving puzzles," according to the trade publication The Hollywood Reporter. Cerone adds that, "When the boy helps his detective brother solve a homicide case, a strange partnership is born."
MERLIN (NBC) - John Hurt ("Recount"), Santiago Cabrera ("Heroes") and Michelle Ryan ("Bionic Woman") are the latest additions to the NBC/BBC1 drama, the latest small screen take on the famed legend. Hurt will voice the Great Dragon with Cabrera as Lancelot and Ryan as the sorceress Nimueh. They join the previously cast Anthony Head, Richard Wilson, Colin Morgan, Bradley James, Angel Coulby and Katie McGrath. Production is underway in Wales, France and England for a September premiere in the U.K. followed by a midseason launch in the U.S. Shine Television and FremantleMedia Enterprises are behind the hour.

Paramount to Acquire Warner Bros. Discovery to Form Next-Generation Global Media and Entertainment Company
The transaction has been unanimously approved by the Boards of Directors of both companies and is expected to close in Q3 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory clearances and approval by WBD shareholders, with a vote expected in the early spring of 2026.
