FOURTH SET OF "HEROES" ACTION FIGURES WILL PREMIERE AT COMIC-CON IN SAN DIEGO
NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music, And Consumer Products Group Once Again Partners with Mezco Toyz to Introduce Next Set of Collectible Figures Based On Hit NBC Series
Most Recent Set Will Include Characters "Claire Bennet," "Maya Herrera," "Gabriel Gray," "Ando Masahashi" And "Adam Monroe" - Will Be On Display at Mezco Toyz (Booth #4145) at Comic-Con
BURBANK, Calif. - July 24, 2008 - NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music, and Consumer Products Group has again teamed with Mezco Toyz to introduce the fourth set of collectible figures based on the Emmy and Golden Globe nominated series "Heroes." Debuting at the annual Comic-Con International in San Diego, the fourth set will include five additional characters and will be available in specialty stores, major retail outlets and online retailers including NBCstore.com in early 2009.
The fourth set includes characters "Claire Bennet" (Hayden Panettiere), the heroine cheerleader with incredible recuperative powers, "Maya Herrera" (Dania Ramirez), a young woman who is plagued with a threatening ability, the villainous "Sylar," as "Gabriel Gray," (Zachary Quinto), "Ando Masahashi" (James Kyson Lee), the quiet Tokyo executive who embarks on wild adventures with his best friend "Hiro" and "Adam Monroe" (David Anders) who, like "Claire," has the ability to heal. Designed by Mezco Toyz' award-winning artists, the seven-inch scale figures feature highly detailed features and extremely accurate accessories.
"Claire" (as "California Claire") wears her outfit from the premiere of season II and comes with a teddy bear, messenger bag and cell phone. "Maya" sports an outfit worn "on-the-run" in Mexico and comes with a "Wanted" poster, backpack and alternate head that is crying blackened tears. "Ando" wears street attire and comes with the Kensei sword and the scrolls found in the hilt of the sword, "Adam" wears the outfit from the finale of season II and comes equipped with the Kensei sword and sheath. In his left hand he holds the Shanti virus. "Gabriel" comes equipped with the snow globe he bought his mother as a gift, a wall clock that he fixes at his mother's house, a magnifying glass and the scissors he accidentally stabs his mother with.
The second set of "Heroes" action figures, which is available in stores and online in September 2008, includes "Noah Bennet" or "H.R.G." (Jack Coleman), a man of mystery who has a special interest in people with healing abilities like his daughter "Claire," "Matt Parkman" (Greg Grunberg), a police detective with the ability to hear the thoughts of others, "Mr. Linderman" (Malcolm McDowell), a reputed mobster with healing ability, "Niki/Jessica Sanders" (Ali Larter), a single mother with astonishing strength, and "Claude" (Christopher Eccleston), the invisible man and Noah Bennet's former partner. The third set includes "Elle Bishop" (Kristen Bell), a mysterious young woman with awesome powers, "The Haitian" (Jimmy Jean-Louis), "Kensei Hiro" (Masi Oka), "Nathan Petrelli" (Adrian Pasdar), a congressional hopeful with the ability to fly and "Peter Petrelli" (Milo Ventimiglia), a young man with the ability to absorb the powers of others. This set will be available in stores and online in November 2008.
