INSIDE EDITION BEGINS ITS 21st SEASON ON SEPTEMBER 8th

#1 syndicated newsmagazine gets upgrades in key markets including Minneapolis and Providence

New York, NY - September 2, 2008 - Inside Edition begins its 21st season as television's longest-running, top-rated and most-honored syndicated newsmagazine on September 8, 2008. Inside Edition is the #1 syndicated newsmagazine on the air and has ranked amongst the top 10 first-run syndicated programs every season for the past 20 years.

This season, Inside Edition has switched stations and been upgraded in the following key markets:

 Minneapolis, to 5:30 p.m. on WUCW-TV (The CW), 5:30 p.m., from 4 p.m. on KSTP-TV (ABC)

 Providence, to 7 p.m. on WLNE-TV (ABC), from 4 a.m. on WJAR-TV (NBC)

Kansas City, to 6:30 p.m. on KCTV (CBS), from 9:30 p.m.. on KSMO-TV (My Net)

Last season, Inside Edition made news with a series of investigative reports including allegations of questionable sales tactics used against the elderly by salespeople for Craftmatic Adjustable Bed. This story prompted Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill to call for an investigation by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

Inside Edition also landed an exclusive interview with former Diff'rent Strokes star Gary Coleman, who revealed that he had secretly wed 22-year-old Shannon Price on a Nevada mountaintop. Inside Edition also interviewed several newsmakers from former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to former baseball great Jose Canseco, who spoke about losing his Encino, Calif., home to foreclosure.

Inside Edition is anchored by two-time Emmy Award winner Deborah Norville, who joined the newsmagazine in 1995 from CBS News, where she anchored "America Tonight" and reported for "48 Hours," "Street Stories" and "CBS Evening News." Prior to working at CBS, she hosted the nationally syndicated "Deborah Norville Radio Show," which was heard on more than 200 stations via the ABC Radio network. At NBC, she served as news anchor and, later, co-host of NBC'S "Today," positions that followed her tenure as anchor of "NBC News At Sunrise." She briefly returned to NBC News to anchor the primetime "Deborah Norville Tonight" on MSNBC, while simultaneously anchoring Inside Edition.

Working with Norville is an experienced team of broadcast journalists, overseen by Executive Producer Charles Lachman, with Co-Executive Producer Esther Pessin, Managing Editors Kevin Harry and Rich Bamberger, and Senior Producers Peter Herdrich and Brian Hendel.

Other members of the Inside Edition team are the show's noted Investigative Unit headed by Senior Producer Bob Read and Senior Investigative Correspondent Matt Meagher; correspondents Diane McInerney, Paul Boyd, Jim Moret, Les Trent, April Woodard, Kristine Guerrero, Megan Alexander and Rita Cosby. Boyd and McInerney are also the co-anchors of Inside Edition Weekend.

Inside Edition is produced daily at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City and produced and distributed by CBS Television Distribution, a unit of CBS Corp.
