(HOLLYWOOD, CA) September 4, 2008-The most popular courtroom series on television, JUDGE JUDY, presided over by Judge Judith Sheindlin, begins its 13th season on Monday, September 8, 2008.

Also on September 9, a new DVD, JUDGE JUDY: SECOND TO NONE, will be released. This follow-up DVD to last year's very successful, JUDGE JUDY: JUSTICE SERVED, features memorable cases, as well as bonus features including guest appearances, a new batch of "Judyisms" and a 1997 interview from "Entertainment Tonight," with thoughts from Judge Judith Sheindlin during her second season of JUDGE JUDY.

During the 2007-08 season, JUDGE JUDY was the only program in first-run syndication to be up in ratings year-to-year. Last season, JUDGE JUDY posted a 4.8 HH AA%/7.4 HH GAA% rating, up + 4% and +6% over the 2006-07 season. JUDGE JUDY ranks as the #1 half-hour court show for 623 consecutive weeks, every week since its premiere. JUDGE JUDY delivers the highest season to season increase of its average daily audience among 1st run syndicated strips with 9.9 million average daily viewers-its largest audience in three seasons.

Additionally, JUDGE JUDY been #1 among all syndicated programs in HH GAA% (AA% where applicable) for 19 straight weeks, since the week ending 4/20/08. (tied included.)

Locally, JUDGE JUDY posted strong deliveries in top markets across the country in the May 2008 sweep including: New York on WCBS-TV (airing at 4 p.m.), where it was the # 1 ranked strip on WCBS from 7 a.m.- 2 a.m. among households, based on shares. In Philadelphia, on WTXF-TV (airing at 4 p.m.), JUDGE JUDY posted the highest May time period rating in 22 years. In Phoenix, on KSAZ-TV (airing at 4 p.m.), JUDGE JUDY was the #1 program in the 4 p.m. hour among HH and women 25 to 54. In Miami, on WPLG-TV (airing at 4 p.m.), JUDGE JUDY was the #1 program in the time period.
