[09/23/08 - 01:16 PM] CBS to Run with "Eleventh Hour" Pilot After All By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC) |
|
|
LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- CBS will now open its new drama "Eleventh Hour" with its original pilot, scheduling updates from the network confirmed this week.
Last month, the Eye announced it would kick off the show on October 9 with a subsequent episode, "Argo." No reason was given for the change of heart.
Said pilot ("Resurrection") is detailed by the network as follows: "When evidence suggests that someone is attempting human cloning, Dr. Jacob Hood, Special Science Advisor to the FBI, is called in to investigate, on the series premiere of ELEVENTH HOUR, Thursday, Oct. 9 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network."
"Argo" presumably will air at a later date.
Meanwhile, FOX likewise has confirmed an air date for the pilot to "Do Not Disturb." The series bowed earlier this month with its second produced episode, "Work Sex." "Pilot" then is set to run as the show's fifth broadcast episode.
The installment is described as follows: "When a top New York newspaper designates The Inn as one of New York's hippest hotels, Neal jumps on the opportunity to be the face of the hotel for the article. But when the hotel's crass owner comes to town, Neal must vie for his place in the limelight while keeping his hotel looking top-notch. Meanwhile, Rhonda looks after the staff as the upstairs front-desk girls injure themselves in the ridiculously high heels that Neal insists they wear, while she encourages stick-thin Nicole to eat an actual meal and urges Molly to stand up for herself when Neal lets her know Molly's full figure will prevent her from working upstairs in the "Pilot" episode of DO NOT DISTURB airing Wednesday, Oct. 8 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."
