TLC MAKES ITS MARK WITH NEW SEASON OF LA INK
Kat Von D returns with season two of her hit series on October 9th at 10 PM
September 23, 2008- Los Angeles, CA- Kat Von D is back on TLC with a new season of the hit series, LA INK. The new season is blowing up with compelling stories, new business ventures, and Kats signature brand of cool that is sure to leave an indelible impression on viewers. LA INK premieres 13 all-new episodes starting on October 9th at 10PM only on TLC.
Hot off the heels of a whirlwind year, Kat finds herself in New York, riding a wave of success unlike anything she's ever dreamed of. This season, life has changed for Kat: screaming fans, new boyfriend, rock star Nikki Sixx, and a new makeup line with Sephora. But with her ever-growing fame and new found success comes a whole new set of stakes can she balance these opportunities with her tattoo shop, which is busier than ever. "This tattoo shop didnt come with a manual" says Kat as she returns to Los Angeles to make sure High Voltage keeps running strong.
This season promises some of the shops most colorful customers yet. Kat and the team are taking on everyone from a famous athlete to a daughter getting a tattoo for her family and sick mother, to an over the top, luchador wrestler. It seems these days that everyone is looking to immortalize something, and they are looking to Kat and her team to make their permanent mark.
"This season feels like a culmination of everything I have been working on and I am excited for people who have been along for the ride, to see that. At the same time, I think people will see a new side of me," said Kat. "This season is so different because I am really going out there, trying new stuff, new adventures, new love, new business, its awesome! But at the same time, I am definitely staying true to me and true to my passion. High Voltage is still my heart and soul, and at the end of the day I feel accomplished knowing that I have been able to get people to understand that at its core, tattooing is an art form."
"We are thrilled to have Kat and LA INK back for a second season," said Eileen ONeill, President of TLC. "Its an exciting and relatable glimpse into an extraordinary life, and is a great complement to our current slate of programming."
LA INK is produced by Original Media and Executive produced by Gil Lopez.
