ELECTION NIGHT PROGRAMMING ON THE CW

IT'S THE PROGRAMMING, STUPID

On November 4, The CW Viewers Can Have Their Programming and The Election, Too, With All New Tuesday, a Swirl of Political Intrigue on 90210's "Secrets and Lies," Privileged's "All About Defining Yourself" And Election Updates

October 21, 2008 (Burbank, CA) The CW will be the only broadcast network airing regular programming on election night, Tuesday, November 4, with original episodes of freshman series "90210" and "Privileged," along with special election updates.

To ensure viewers can watch their favorite shows without missing election results, both "90210" and "Privileged" will deliver shortened episodes, giving stations time to air two local election updates per hour. Ninety percent of the network's affiliates will be participating with the cut-in opportunities.

With the addition of "90210," which made its debut as the network's highest-rated series premiere ever, and new series "Privileged," The CW's Tuesdays have dramatically improved over a year ago, with gains of 45% in women 18-34 and 18% in adults 18-34.

In the November 4 episode of "90210," titled "Secrets and Lies," Harry (Rob Estes) and Debbie (Lori Loughlin) inform Annie (Shenae Grimes) and Dixon (Tristan Wilds) that Harry has a son who was given up for adoption nearly 22 years ago. While Dixon doesn't seem bothered by the information, Annie releases her frustration and anger at a sleepover with Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord), Silver (Jessica Stroup) and Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes). The sleepover quickly turns into a house party.

That night's episode of "Privileged," titled "All About Defining Yourself," features guest star Kathy Najimy ("Numb3rs") as a high-powered publicist who helps Sage (Ashley Newbrough) and Rose (Lucy Kate Hale) kick-off their modeling careers. Meanwhile, Megan (JoAnna Garcia) has been compiling research on Laurel (Anne Archer) with the intention of presenting a book proposal to her, but when Laurel takes over the project and hires an experienced ghostwriter, Megan feels dismissed. Continuing her research, Megan inadvertently discovers a shocking secret about Laurel's past.
