CSI: NY (CBS) - "American Idol" alum Katharine McPhee is set to guest star on an upcoming episode of the drama. She'll play a singer on the hour, additional details of which weren't released. McPhee made her TV acting debut in 2007 as herself on an episode of ABC's "Ugly Betty."
GHOST ADVENTURES (Travel) - The cable channel has ordered 26 additional episodes of the series, which completed an eight-week test run late last year. The pick-up comes as producer Michael Yudin's MY Entertainment undergoes a merger with Cary Glotzer's Tupelo-Honey Productions, a production, postproduction and packaging outfit. The newly rebranded MY-Tupelo Entertainment will "develop and produce entertainment, reality, documentary and sports content for television, broadband and mobile applications."
MERCY (NBC) - "Men in Trees" co-star James Tupper has joined the cast of the drama pilot, about three nurses bound together in friendship by the highs and lows of their personal and professional lives. He'll play Dr. Chris Sands, a new doctor at Mercy Hospital who had a sizzling affair with one of the nurses while both were stationed in Iraq. Adam Bernstein is directing the Universal Media Studios-based hour, which comes from creator Elizabeth Heldens.
