100 QUESTIONS FOR CHARLOTTE PAYNE (NBC) - Joy Suprano has joined the cast of the comedy pilot, about a young woman (Sophie Winkleman) navigating her life and friends. She'll play the best friend of the title character in the Universal Media Studios-based project, which James Burrows is directing from a script by Chris Moynihan.
THE EASTMANS (CBS) - Former "Dirty Sexy Money" patriarch Donald Sutherland is set to serve as the same on the drama pilot, about a dysfunctional family of doctors. He'll play a distinguished cardiologist on the hour, which is based at Warner Bros. Television. Margaret Nagle penned the script.
THREE RIVERS (CBS) - Joaquim de Almeida ("Crusoe") has scored a recurring role on the drama pilot, about the doctors, donors and patients in organ transplants. He'll play the director of the institute of transplant medicine. Alex O'Loughlin and Julia Ormond also star in the CBS Paramount Network Television-based hour, which was written by Carol Barbee.
UNTITLED JUSTIN ADLER PROJECT (NBC) - Allison Munn ("Carpoolers") has joined the cast of the comedy pilot, about a multigenerational family led by a controlling mother. She'll play the girlfriend of Nick D'Agosto's character, the youngest son in the clan. Justin Adler is behind the half-hour, which comes from the Sony Pictures Television-based Tantamount.
THE VAMPIRE DIARIES (The CW) - Paul Wesley ("Everwood") has been tapped as the male lead of the drama pilot, about Elena (Nina Dobrev), a tragic heroine who is the object of passion for two vampire brothers. He'll play Stefan, a "gloriously, amazingly, epically beautiful young man who is actually a 200-year-old vampire who has a strong connection with Elena." Also signing on are Michael Trevino, Katerina Graham, Sarah Carey and Candice Accola. Carey will play Jenna, Elena and Jeremy's (Steven R. McQueen) aunt, with Graham and Accola as her best friends, Bonnie, an amateur psychic, and Caroline, the queen bee at their school, respectively. Rounding out the bunch is Trevino as Tyler, a cocky jock who butts heads with Stefan. Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson are behind the Warner Bros. Television-based hour, which Marcos Siega is directing.
