SCI FI TEAMS UP WITH OVERBROOK ENTERTAINMENT FOR 'UNFINISHED BUSINESS'
New York, NY -- April 20, 2009 -- SCI FI is teaming up with James Lassiter, Will Smith and Ken Stovitz through their company Overbrook Entertainment for a 2-hour back door pilot entitled Unfinished Business. Written by Emmy-nominated Sally Robinson (Iron Jawed Angels), the pilot will be produced by Universal Cable Productions. Emmy-winner Mikael Salomon (Band of Brothers, The Andromeda Strain, The Company) is attached to direct. Both Robinson and Salomon will serve as executive producers. Heather Courtney, head of Overbrook Entertainment television, will oversee production.
"SCI FI is excited to begin development on Unfinished Business with Overbrook Entertainment and Will Smith," said Mark Stern, Executive Vice President, Original Programming for SCI FI & Co-Head Original Content, Universal Cable Productions. "It is a compelling and thrilling drama that is perfect for our audience."
Unfinished Business is the story of an ex cop, who after a brain injury, finds himself experiencing flashes of memories from the recently deceased. The experiences compel him to help these lost souls resolve their unfinished business.
