Citytv Announces Summer 2009 Programming Line Up

Comedy, Drama, Reality, Game Shows

(Toronto � May 26, 2009) Citytv heats things up this summer with some sizzling unscripted programs, hilarious comedies, exciting game shows and gritty dramas.

"Citytv is continuing to keep audiences entertained this summer with a refreshing mix of unscripted and scripted series" says Malcolm Dunlop, Executive Vice President Programming, Rogers Media Television.

Citytv's Summer Programming Line Up is as follows:

Hitched or Ditched � Season 1

Premieres Tuesday, May 26 at 9pm ET/PT (8pm CT, 10pm MT)

Finally, a reality series for couples reluctant to take the leap into their nuptials! This weekly unscripted series focuses on gun shy couples who are in long term relationships yet to make it to the alter. Each episode focuses on a couple who has been nominated by a friend to set a wedding date in just seven days. In this week, the lucky couple will complete a series of relationship-testing exercises while planning their wedding. At the end of the week, the couple will make the decision to either get hitched, or call the whole thing off.

Make Me a Supermodel 2

Premieres Tuesday, May 26 at 10 pm ET/PT (9pm CT, 8pm MT)

Make Me a Supermodel returns for a second season with supermodel Tyson Beckford as the show's sole host and mentor to the male models and Australian supermodel Nicole Trunfio who joins the show as mentor to the female models. A new panel of esteemed judges joins the series, including world-renowned designer Catherine Malandrino, model Jenny Shimizu, famed photographer Perou and international model scout Marlon. This unscripted series follows a group of beautiful and talented men and women who compete for the grand-prize that includes a fashion pictorial in Cosmopolitan magazine, $100,000 cash prize, and a New York Model Management contract.

The Goode Family � Series Premiere

Premieres Wednesday, May 27 at 9pm ET/CT/PT (10pm MT)

When it comes to living life by the rules the Goodes are more than just a little over the top! Gerald (Mike Judge, King of the Hill), Helen (Nancy Carell, The Office), Ubuntu (Dave Herman, King of the Hill) and Bliss (Linda Cardellini, ER) � are a family obsessed with doing the "right" thing environmentally, politically and socially. Every move is carefully checked against their self imposed social conscience and often results in unintended comic consequences. From their hybrid car that they only use in emergencies because it's bad for the environment, to their beloved dog Che who despite being raised vegan satisfies his meat cravings by devouring neighbourhood pets, to the lengths to which Gerald and Helen will go to relate to their children, the Goodes live life by the best of intentions. While their choices don't always pay off, they always leave you rooting for them. The Goode Family was created, written and executive produced by Mike Judge (King of the Hill), David Krinsky and John Altschuler (Blades of Glory; King of the Hill).

Law and Order UK � Season 1 (Canadian Premiere)

Premieres Thursday, June 11 at 10pm ET/PT (9pm CT, 8pm MT)

Based on the wildly successful series from Emmy award winning producer Dick Wolf, Law and Order UK comes to Canada! Law and Order UK follows Detective Ronnie Brooks (Bradly Walsh, Coronation Street) and partner Detective Matt Devlin (Jamie Bamber, Battlestar Galactica) as they solve some of the most gruesome crimes committed in Great Britain.

I Survived a Japanese Game Show � Season 2

Premieres Wednesday, July 8, at 9pm ET/PT (9pm CT, 10pm MT)

The second season of the outrageously hilarious reality/game show series follows a new batch of Americans as they are flown to Japan to compete in the ultimate Japanese game show. Host Rome Kanda (Saturday Night Live) returns to guide the hopefuls through the series of wacky challenges. The last contestant standing will walk away with the $250,000 cash prize.

Krod Mandoon � Season 1

Premieres Wednesday, July 8, at 10pm ET/PT (8pm CT/ MT)

This revolutionary satirical comedy - set in a medieval fantasy world -is far from the ordinary.
