Cartoon Network, TNT Among Latest Scheduling Changes
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Animal Planet, Bravo, Cartoon Network, CMT, Lifetime, MTV and TLC closed out the week with a host of scheduling announcements.

Here's a breakdown of the latest from each:

-- Animal Planet will roll out the second season of "Jockeys" on Friday, August 21 at 10:00/9:00c. Episodes will subsequently air at 9:00/8:00c on said night. Also on tap at the Discovery sibling: the return of the Victoria Stilwell-hosted "It's Me or the Dog" on Saturday, August 1 at 9:00/8:00c.

-- Bravo has cobbled together a new half-hour "lost footage" special featuring "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" for Thursday, July 23 at 9:30/8:30c leading into the season finale of "The Fashion Show" at 10:00/9:00c. "Atlanta" then returns with its second season the following week on Thursday, July 30 at 10:00/9:00c.

-- Cartoon Network has opted to consolidate its "CN Real" lineup on Wednesday nights. Beginning next week, "BrainRush" will kick off the night at 8:00/7:00c followed by "Destroy Build Destroy," "The Othersiders" and "Survive This." Also getting a makeover is Thursday nights as "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack" will now lead things off at 8:00/7:00c followed by newcomer "Stoked," "Total Drama Action" and "6teen."

-- CMT has pushed the planned August launch of "Runnin' Wild... from Ted Nugent" to early 2010. The competition series features the iconic rocker as he "teaches ordinary people how to survive in the wild, and then evade the master... Nugent himself."

-- Lifetime has quietly slated a trio of its original movies (all at 9:00/8:00c): the Joan Allen-led "Georgia O'Keeffe" on Saturday, September 19; "Sorority Wars," featuring Courtney Thorne-Smith, Faith Ford and Lucy Hale, on Saturday, October 17; and "12 Men of Christmas," toplined by Kristin Chenoweth, on Saturday, December 5.

-- MTV will bow "Making His Band," the latest "Making the Band" spin-off from Sean "Diddy" Combs, on Monday, July 27 at 10:00/9:00c. Originally dubbed "Making the Rock Band," the series features the multihyphenate as he assembles, you guessed it, a rock band.

-- TLC has booked "Restorer Guy," featuring home restorationist Gable Painter, for Tuesdays at 7:00/6:00c beginning July 21. The half-hour series will lead into the return of "The Real Estate Pros" at 7:30/6:30c followed by the season premiere of "Moving Up" at 8:00/7:00c.

-- Lastly, TNT has bumped its reality entry "Wedding Day" yet again, this time to Saturday mornings at 9:00/8:00c. The news marks its third time period in as many weeks: Tuesdays at 8:00/7:00c (June 16), Thursdays at 8:00/7:00c (June 25) and now Saturdays as of July 4.
