CAST VERSIONS OF "MAYBE THIS TIME," "ALONE" AND "SOMEBODY TO LOVE" AMONG SONGS FEATURED IN "GLEE" WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, ON FOX

"Somebody to Love" Breaks into iTunes Top 20

Columbia Records and Twentieth Century Fox Television today released select songs featured in this week's episode of GLEE, including show-stopping versions of "Maybe This Time" from "Cabaret" performed by APRIL RHODES (guest star Kristin Chenoweth) and RACHEL BERRY (Lea Michele) and Heart's "Alone" sung by APRIL (Chenoweth) and WILL SCHUESTER (Matthew Morrison). Additionally, the cast version of Queen's "Somebody To Love," which was released on iTunes last week, has already landed in the Top 20. These three tracks join 11 songs already available on iTunes, including "Don't Stop Believin'," which shot up to No. 1 after the GLEE preview event, as well as Michele's "Take A Bow," which peaked at No. 6 and "Taking Chances" which peaked at No. 11.

In this week's episode, which airs Wednesday, Sept. 30 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX and features Emmy Award-winning guest star Kristin Chenoweth, Will thinks the glee club desperately needs more of an edge, so he brings in a former classmate to spice things up. Will's plan seems to be going smoothly until he realizes he is in danger of losing a key member of the club.

On Tuesday, Nov. 3, Columbia Records and Twentieth Century Fox Television will release "Glee: The Music, Volume 1," the first in a series of soundtracks that feature music heard in the first season of the critically acclaimed series on FOX. "Glee: The Music, Volume 1" will feature spectacular renditions of several chart-topping hits, including Avril Lavigne's "Keep Holding On" and Jill Scott's "Hate On Me."

GLEE, the genre-defying new musical comedy series, follows an optimistic teacher who against all odds and a malicious cheerleading coach attempts to save McKinley High's Glee Club from obscurity while helping a group of aspiring underdogs realize their true star potential. Starring Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jessalyn Gilsig, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Jenna Ushkowitz, GLEE is produced by Ryan Murphy Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan are co-creators of the series. Murphy, Falchuk and Dante Di Loreto serve as executive producers, while Ian Brennan serves as co-executive producer.
