BREAKING BAD (AMC) - David Costabile ("Damages") has scored a recurring role on the show's upcoming third season, Entertainment Weekly reports. He'll play Walt's (Bryan Cranston) new assistant, Gale, "an eager student and a brilliant chemist, Gale is the antithesis of Jessie (Aaron Paul) in that he's more interested in the magic of chemistry than getting rich." Said arc is believed to be at least four episodes.

GREEK (ABC Family) - Sam Page ("Mad Men") is set to stop by on the back half of the show's third season in a recurring role. He'll play Joel, "a smart and accessible local campaign manager for a congresswoman" who used to work for Rebecca (Dilshad Vadsaria)'s father, Entertainment Weekly reports. It's not clear when his first episode will air.

SOUTHLAND (NBC) - The former Peacock drama is inching closer to finding a new home at TNT. It's understood the six completed episodes are on track to air early next year on the cable channel with the option to produce additional installments should ratings merit. No other details about the deal were given.

WHAT I HATE ABOUT ME (Style, New!) - The cable channel has ordered 10 episodes of "an unconventional makeover show that challenges women to address the 10 aspects of their lives they dislike the most." Lisa Arch ("Clean House") has been tapped to host the project, which will roll out Saturday, January 2 at 9:00/8:00c. She'll be joined by a rotating panel of experts (including boxer Laila Ali, nutritionist Rachel Beller and radio host Emily Morse) who will help devise pragmatic solutions to the women's self-described troubles. No details about the production team were given. Meanwhile in other news at the network, "Ruby" has been given the go ahead to produce a third season. It's understood new episodes will launch in the first quarter.
