By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!

BREAKOUT KINGS (FOX) - The network has commissioned a pilot for the drama project, a procedural about ex-fugitives who are recruited to work as U.S. Marshals. "Prison Break" alums Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora are behind the 20th Century Fox Television-based hour, which Gavin Hood ("X-Men Origins: Wolverine") is attached to direct. FOX gave a script commitment to "Kings" back in August with a penalty attached should it not go to pilot.

EDGAR FLOATS (ABC, New!) - "Life" creator Rand Ravich has scored a pilot commitment from the Alphabet for a new drama about "a police psychologist who becomes a bounty hunter." Ravich penned the hour and is executive producing with fellow "Life" alum Far Shariat. Warner Bros. Television is the studio attached.

LOST (ABC) - Mark Pellegrino ("Supernatural") and Titus Welliver ("The Good Wife") are set to reprise their roles as Jacob and his nemesis during the show's upcoming swan song. Welliver originally appeared on "Lost's" fifth season finale as a nameless, centuries old inhabitant of the island bent on killing Jacob (Pellegrino). The episode concluded with the man tricking Benjamin Linus (Michael Emerson) into stabbing Jacob by assuming the appearance of the dead John Locke (Terry O'Quinn). Not surprisingly, no specifics about how or when each character will return were given.

NATHAN VS. NURTURE (A.K.A. NATHAN VS. NATURE) (NBC) - The Peacock has ordered a pilot for the multi-camera comedy, about a successful 35-year-old heart surgeon who decides to search for his biological parents only to find they had three more kids - all underachievers - and kept them. Co-creators David Guarascio and Moses Port set up the project at the Peacock and Sony Pictures Television back in July. The pair penned the half-hour and are executive producing.

MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED (FOX, New!) - David Walpert ("Will & Grace") has landed a pilot order from the network for a new multi-camera comedy about "a group of friends who were superstars growing up and are now dealing with the reality of adulthood." The project is set up at 20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television with the latter's David Nevins and Brian Grazer executive producing alongside Walpert.

PLEADING GUILTY (FOX, New!) - Scott Turow's novel, about "an ex-cop-turned-attorney who works as a partner at a powerful Chicago law firm," is heading to the small screen courtesy of FOX. The network has issued a pilot order to the potential drama series, which comes from 20th Century Fox Television and Chernin Entertainment. Jason Tracey ("Burn Notice") penned the adaptation and will serve as a co-executive producer. Jon Avnet, Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope are executive producing. Avnet previously set the project up at TNT back in 2005 where it was envisioned as a movie-of-the-week.

THIS LITTLE PIGGY (NBC, New!) - Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley have revived their multi-camera comedy - about two adult siblings (Jeff Davis, Rebecca Creskoff) who move in with their eldest brother (Kevin Rahm) after he inherits his parents' large, rambling Portland, Oregon house - at NBC. The Peacock has ordered a new pilot for the project, which comes from ABC Studios. Andrea Parker and Brandy Norwood also starred in the original ABC incarnation however none of the previous cast members are expected to return. Cragg and Bradley penned the script and will executive produce. It's not clear if Marco Pennette, who supervised the ABC version, will also return as an executive producer.

TRAFFIC LIGHT (FOX, New!) - Feature writer Bob Fisher ("Wedding Crashers") is returning to the small screen for a new comedy about "three male friends in different stages of relationships." The single-camera half-hour is based on the Israeli series of the same name, which is detailed by Kuperman Productions as follows: "This series tells the story of three childhood friends, now in their early thirties, each in a different stage in his life, like a traffic light: the red light is for Itzko (Lior Kalfon) who is married with a child and whose life is at a standstill. The blinking yellow light is for Amir (Adir Miller) who is living with his girlfriend Tali and on an irreversible journey from bachelorhood to marriage. Only for Heffer (Nir Levy), the eternal bachelor, is the light still green and the traffic is flowing." Fisher penned the adaptation for 20th Century Fox Television and is executive producing alongside format creator Adir Miller and Keshet Broadcasting Group's Avi Nir, Ran Telem and Elad Kuperman.
