AMERICAN CHOPPER (TLC) - The cable channel is reportedly reviving the veteran reality series just two months after calling it quits. A seventh season, which will once again track the Teutul clan and Orange County Choppers, is set to be announced at the Discovery Networks' upfront presentation on Thursday. No other details were mentioned.
LET'S STAY TOGETHER (BET, New!) - Malinda Williams and Bert Belasco are set to topline a potential new scripted comedy at the network about "a newly engaged pediatrician Stacy (Williams) and contractor Charles (Belasco) who take the absurd step of trying to blend their successful, independent 21st century lives into a traditional 20th century marriage." Jacque Edmonds Cofer ("Cuts") is behind the half-hour, which has a pilot commitment from the cable channel. Joyful Drake co-stars as "Stacy's younger sister who has always been the more popular one and is used to living the high life," with RonReaco Lee as "her lawyer husband who, inspired by Barack Obama, abandons his quest to become a big-shot corporate attorney in favor of a nonprofit legal aid gig." Rounding out the group is Erica Hubbard as "Charles's opinionated younger sister." Henry Chan ("10 Things I Hate About You") is attached to direct.
TRUE BLOOD (HBO) - Lauren Bowles has booked a five-episode arc on the show's upcoming third season, which launches Sunday, June 13. She'll play Holly Cleary, "a thirtysomething mother of two who applies for a job at Merlotte's and creeps out Arlene (Carrie Preston) with her oddly prescient observations." Said role, a major character in the Southern Vampire Mysteries books "True Blood" is based on, has the option to continue as a regular next year. Other additions this season include Alfre Woodard, Brit Morgan, Cooper Huckabee, Denis O'Hare, Grant Bowler, Gregg Daniel, J. Smith-Cameron, James Frain, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Alejandro, Kristin Bauer, Lindsay Pulsipher, Marshall Allman, Natasha Alam, Shannon Lucio and Theo Alexander.
THE TRUTH BELOW (MTV, New!) - Gillian Zinser ("90210") is set to topline a new original movie at the cable channel about "a confident 18-year-old whose world is upended, first by romantic misunderstandings, then by a crash that leaves her and three friends trapped under an avalanche of snow." Production begins this week in Calgary on the project with Scott Glosserman directing from a script by Wendy Diane Miller. Maggie Malina is the executive producer. No other specifics were given.
