'90210' ALUMS LUKE PERRY AND JASON PRIESTLEY TO MAKE NEW HALLMARK MOVIE CHANNEL ORIGINAL, 'GOODNIGHT FOR JUSTICE'

Luke Perry Executive Produces and Stars; Jason Priestley Directs; "Goodnight for Justice" Premieres in 2011

"Beverly Hills, 90210" stars Luke Perry ("A Fine Step," "A Gunfighter's Pledge") and Jason Priestley ("Call Me Fitz," "Expecting A Miracle") reunite for the Hallmark Movie Channel Original, "Goodnight For Justice," which will premiere on the network in 2011. Luke Perry is an executive producer and the lead star of the film about a boy in the American Old West who witnesses an act of murderous violence that claims the lives of his parents and an influential public official. Affected by the memory of the slain official's grandeur and eloquence, the boy grows up to be an arbiter of law, a Circuit Judge, hell-bent on justice. Jason Priestley is set to direct the film, based on material developed by Luke Perry, which goes into production August 4 in Vancouver, B.C.

"We are thrilled to be bringing this exciting Western to life for Hallmark Movie Channel," said Ira Pincus, Executive Producer, of eOne Television. "Luke has been a great partner from scratch, extremely passionate about this film, and Jason brings a seasoned perspective to the project."

John Goodnight (Perry) has a crystal clear memory of the day that his family was victimized by ruthless outlaws. He and the wife of Circuit Judge Aldous Shaw were the only survivors of the attack; she would become his foster mother. Goodnight cannot forget the corrupt man who destroyed his family the man he also recalls walked with a limp and he lives for a second chance encounter with the outlaw. After a rocky start as a solicitor, the Governor swears John Goodnight in as the Western Territories next Circuit Judge. Goodnight travels the West seeking protection for the innocent, until one fateful day, when his journey takes him to a place that is all too familiar.

John Morayniss ("Haven," "Hung"), Ira Pincus ("When Love is Not Enough: The Lois Wilson Story") and Luke Perry are executive producers. Randy Cheveldave is the producer. Tashi Beile is the supervising producer. Jason Priestley directs from a script by Neal and Tippi Dobrofsky ("Mail Order Bride"). Entertainment One will handle worldwide distribution, excluding the US.

Hallmark Movie Channel, the second linear channel from Crown Media Holdings, Inc., simulcast in SD (Standard Definition) and HD (High Definition), is a 24-hour cable network dedicated to bringing viewers family-friendly movies with a mix of classic theatrical films, presentations from the acclaimed Hallmark Hall of Fame library, original Hallmark Channel movies and special events.
