ANIMAL PLANET'S "FATAL ATTRACTIONS" ENTERS ITS SECOND SEASON WITH FIVE NEW EPISODES
Catch a Sneak Peak on Sunday, February 13, at 10 PM ET/PT; Series Returns to Regularly Scheduled Time on Fridays at 9 PM ET/PT Beginning February 18
(New York, New York, January 18, 2011) - FATAL ATTRACTIONS - one of Animal Planet's top performing series of last year is back for a second season. Starting with a sneak peak on Sunday, February 13, at 10 PM ET/PT followed by weekly premiere episodes beginning Friday, February 18, at 9 PM ET/PT, Animal Planet tells the intense, heart-wrenching, true stories of people who choose to live with deadly "pets" - wild animals that are capable of catastrophic injury and even death. But these people say they are taking the ultimate risk for love. They see these "pets" as family members; they live with them, sleep with them...their lives become completely intertwined with theirs.
The premiere episode, A Tiger Stalks New Jersey documents deadly love, dangerous obsessions and tragic real-life situations. It's a story that sounds like an urban legend, except this one's real.
A stray male Bengal tiger is loose and terrorizing the suburban streets of New Jersey. After unsuccessful attempts to capture the 600-pound beast, police are forced to shoot it. However, that doesn't answer the underlying question - where did the tiger coming from, and why is it found stalking the streets? The premiere story is a winding investigation that leads to a very grisly revelation.
Upcoming stories feature close situations with lions, crocs, bison, tigers and deer, including the following:
A passionate Texas animal trainer trusts his beloved animals so much that he introduces his 12-year-old daughter to the act. Trusting her father, she feels completely safe in a ring with six fully grown tigers. But can her mother's fear and influence get in the way of her dream?
In Australia, a nurse has a curious living situation - she takes in stray domestic pets, has a 16-year-old son and shares her home with three pet crocodiles.
Things don't turn out well for a New York corrections officer who is rammed and pierced repeatedly by his pet deer.
