DIY NETWORK FOCUSES ON REAL SOLUTIONS, REAL PEOPLE AND REAL SAVINGS BY SPOTLIGHTING HOMEOWNERS THAT DO-IT-THEMSELVES; FROM KILLER CURB APPEAL TO MEGA-MAKEOVERS, THE DIRTIEST NETWORK ON TELEVISION ANNOUNCES ALL-NEW PROGRAMMING FOR 2011

Expanded Talent Roster Includes Interior Designer Anitra Mecadon; Tech Guru Janna Robinson; And Landscape Specialists Billy Derian and Steve Watson

NEW YORK, January 18, 2011 - DIY Network, the go-to-destination for home improvement 24/7, renovates their lineup in 2011 to include numerous series and specials focusing on homeowners who get their hands dirty and do-it-themselves. The new roster of programming was announced today by Andy Singer, general manager of DIY Network.

"DIY Network had an incredible year in 2010," Singer said. "With headline-making shows and a growing upscale audience, we have completely hit our stride." He added, "Our shows are more relevant than ever before and allow viewers to sit back, relax and enjoy someone else's wild ride or empower them to take their projects into their own hands with the info they need from a network they trust."

According to a recent report[1] by the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University, the U.S. home improvement industry is poised for growth. With more and more homeowners remodeling their homes, DIY Network gives enthusiasts the tools, literally, to achieve great results with some blood, sweat, sometimes tears, and some much-needed advice from top-notch experts. Kicking off the New Year are several new original series that send a "you too, can do-it-yourself" message including: Dream House, Family Under Construction and Renovation Rookies.

Dream House, which premiered January 9 at 8 p.m. ET, is a new half-hour series that follows a New York City couple who are building a perfect log cabin getaway in the Catskill Mountains. While these two executives are used to deadlines and stress in their professional lives, building this dream home seems to take tension to the extreme. Encore episodes of Dream House air Sundays at 8 p.m. ET, followed by new episodes at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Family Under Construction, premiering February 3 at 10:30 p.m. ET, follows Greg and Danielle Bryk, serial movers who after 20 houses in 17 years, have decided it's time to settle down. Their perfect choice: a 100-year-old house with hundreds of problems. With Greg out of town for two months to work, Danielle is forced to take on two time-consuming roles: general contractor and mother of three young children. New episodes air Thursdays.

A major home renovation can be a dream, but as beginners soon discover, finishing it can often be a nightmare. Premiering February 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET, Renovation Rookies follows a family as they crack through the rocky terrain, battle the elements, argue with opinionated contractors, build on extreme angles and watch as their money is stretched to the max all to complete the ultimate renovation. New episodes air Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Continuing to be the one-stop resource for home renovation expertise, DIY Network expands their roster of specialists in 2011, experts who can take homeowner projects to the next level. First up: interior designer Anitra Mecadon, who is host of Mega Dens launching January 17 at 10 p.m. ET. This half-hour original show features over-the-top recreation rooms and gives viewers the skills to renovate their own family sanctuary. On Rehab Addict, premiering January 20 at 10 p.m. ET, Nicole Curtis, licensed realtor, interior designer, and single mom, takes old homes that have seen better days and orchestrates a full transformation. Then in June 2011, "chic geek" lifestyle-tech expert Janna Robinson opens the doors to some of the hottest celebrity homes on Hollywood Hi-Tech (wt).

Hollywood Hi-Tech (wt) is a half-hour series that documents the ultimate in A-list technology makeovers using innovative, high-end gear to completely transform the space from ordinary to extraordinary. Celebrities, including reality-TV star Khloe Kardashian, basketball champion Lamar Odom, and Entourage star Kevin Connolly, join Robinson in the massive makeover process from start-to-finish. From lighting to electronics to whole-house technology, the program will be full of helpful information any consumer can use when evaluating and choosing hi-tech options for their own homes. Offering real solutions for real people, Hollywood Hi-Tech (wt) covers the best technology in home audio and video components, whole-house control systems, wireless security webcams, and more.

And because everyone knows that curb appeal matters, DIY Network digs into the landscape category by adding two specialists to the mix in April 2011: Billy Derian, landscape designer and builder, who helms Extra Yardage and Steve Watson, expert builder, carpenter and host of Yard Attack. In Extra Yardage, Derian transforms neglected decks, patios and yards into world-class outdoor entertainment spaces. He gives viewers a new look at life outside the box, including outdoor kitchens and theaters, sports-bar-themed spaces, and more. Yard Attack, a new half-hour series, introduces viewers to a new way to look at total landscape renovation: speed. In each episode, Watson and his crew design and install a killer outdoor space in just a few hours.

Specials in the first half of 2011 include: Man Caves: NFL Fan Cave (January 21 at 8 p.m. ET); Sweat Equity Top 10 (February 16 at 9 p.m. ET), America's Most Desperate Landscape (June), Cool Tools: The Builders' Show (June) and Cool Tools: Consumer Electronics Show (June).
