ABC ANNOUNCES FEBRUARY SWEEPS PROGRAMMING, INCLUDING THE SERIES PREMIERE OF "MR. SUNSHINE"
The ABC Television Network announces highlights of its upcoming February sweeps programming, including the series premiere of "Mr. Sunshine," starring Matthew Perry.

"JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE" - Throughout sweeps, Jimmy Kimmel hosts an all-star lineup of guests including Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner, Adam Sandler, Matthew Perry, Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis, Kim Kardashian, Topher Grace, Martin Lawrence, Chef Bobby Flay, Diana Agron and a special Justin Bieber episode. In addition, for the sixth consecutive year, ABC presents "Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards(R)," on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 27. Live from the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, CA, a special broadcast of the late-night talk-show, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, airs following the Oscar telecast and local news. February also brings musical performances from Adele, Cake, Jewel, Black Dub and special performances from Dallas by Nelly, Ke$ha and Pitbull. "Jimmy Kimmel Live" airs, MONDAY - FRIDAY (12:00-1:06 a.m., ET).
"WIPEOUT" - "Winter Wipeout: Hockey Pucks and Bieber Fever" -- "Remember the 'Agony of Defeat' guy? It's like that for a whole hour!," says host John Henson. Contestants pay a visit to the Gingerbread House, guaranteed to hit them right on the sweet spot, which in turn earns them a one-way ticket to Big Ball-ville. Players will also face the Yule Log Jam, which was liked so much that a ring was put on it. Meanwhile, John Henson catches Bieber Fever which quickly goes to his head -- Henson then steps out of the warm and cozy booth he's accustomed to and makes his way down on to the cold and frozen course. Upon joining the contestants, he helps break the ice among them by flinging over-sized hockey pucks at their heads with amazing accuracy as they strive to make it past the obstacles in the Wipeout Ice Arena. Only three tough contestants will move on to the Winter Wipeout Zone, battling it out for $50,000. Hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's "SportsCenter"), John Henson (E! "GREY'S ANATOMY" - "Don't Deceive Me (Please Don't Go)" -- Derek begins the long series of trial surgeries and Meredith is offended that she wasn't asked to work on the study. Cristina is back stronger than ever, but must fight an eager Jackson for a surgery with Teddy, on "Grey's Anatomy," THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 3 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET).
"PRIVATE PRACTICE" - "Heaven Can Wait" -- Addison plans Bizzy and Susan's wedding while trying to keep her distance from the overly flirtatious Dr. Rodriquez. Sam is concerned about the care his longtime patient is receiving, and Sheldon refers Charlotte to his mentor and friend for psychiatric help, on "Private Practice," THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 3 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET). Guest stars include JoBeth Williams, Cristi�n de la Fuente and Ann Cusack.
"SUPERNANNY" - "Potter Family" - "This is my life, and it sucks," admits father-of-four Chris Potter. Chris and his wife, Joy, have four children who they feel are very disrespectful. Joy says that Chris is too "old school" - yelling, scaring the kids, and being too strict and temperamental. Noah, 10, has a strained relationship with his father, who berates him as a brat when he's angry, and the younger siblings also come under fire. Chris feels that Joy is undermining him by challenging his parenting style, which his own mother didn't do with his dad when he was growing up. Jo Frost observes that Joy is inconsistent about discipline, but also that Chris could break Noah's spirit if things don't change. Joy sadly tells Jo that her marriage is on the line if she and Chris can't get on the same page. Is it too late for this family to change for the better?, on "Supernanny," FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).
"PRIMETIME: WHAT WOULD YOU DO?" - The show travels to Arizona to test bystanders' reactions to racial profiling in light of the controversial new bill that will require police to ask people they suspect might be illegal aliens to show identification. Will anyone intervene when they witness racial profiling of this sort? John Qui�ones steps into the role of the one being profiled. Additionally, will anyone come forward to stop a man from stealing a waiter's tip, or when a coffee shop manager discriminates against two deaf women trying to apply for jobs?, on "Primetime: What Would You Do?," FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET).
"A BARBARA WALTERS SPECIAL: A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH" -- What do Barbara Walters, President Bill Clinton, David Letterman, Regis Philbin, Robin Williams and Charlie Rose all have in common? They all went from being in the spotlight to being in the operating room for life and death open heart surgery. Now in a groundbreaking report, the "brotherhood of the cracked chest club" (as Robin Williams describes them) all open their hearts to Walters and reveal their emotional stories of how they triumphed over heart disease. The special offers an intimate portrait of these most public figures, infused with laughter and tears. Walters also takes viewers on an unprecedented behind-the-scenes journey of her own battle from discovery of a faulty heart valve to the operating table and recovery. "THE BACHELOR" -- "Episode 1506" - The excited remaining eight women break out their passports as they travel to the lush, tropical country of Costa Rica. The stakes are ratcheted up as Chantal gets a second one-on-one date to zipline through the thick jungle. Rain threatens to dampen their spirits, but will it cool off their passion? Brad escorts six bachelorettes on a challenging date to the middle of the rain forest where he and the women must rappel down a waterfall, but the night turns serious and Brad surprises all the ladies with his rose selection. Then Alli gets her first individual date, but she must face her greatest fear when she and Brad explore a cave together. Michelle decides to pay the Bachelor an unexpected late night visit to his room, but will it be hot - or not? Dramatic revelations at the rose ceremony kick everyone's emotions into high gear. Only six women will remain on the journey to the romantic Caribbean island of Anguilla, on "The Bachelor," MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET). Chris Harrison is the host.
"CASTLE" - "Lucky Stiff" - The brutal murder of a $117 million lottery winner has Castle and Beckett up to their eyeballs in suspects, envious and angered by the victim's sudden move from the poorhouse to the penthouse. As the precinct buzzes with fantasies of what our cops would do if they won the lottery, Martha struggles with the reality of such a decision when she suddenly inherits money she feels she doesn't deserve, on "Castle," MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET).
"NO ORDINARY FAMILY" - "No Ordinary Double Standard" -- After a friend is attacked, Stephanie tells Jim that she wants to join forces with him to help catch the perp. But when Jim informs Stephanie that he's built for crime fighting - and she's not - the competition is on to see which one of them can solve the case first. Meanwhile, Daphne feels like Jim is invoking a double standard when he allows JJ to date a senior but won't let her do the same, and Katie learns some disturbing news about Joshua - aka The Watcher -- on "No Ordinary Family," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET). Ethan Suplee ("My Name Is Earl") guest stars.
"V" - "Concordia" - Anna uses her newest gift of mankind, "Concordia," as a cover to hide an invading fleet of breeding vessels that will be used to ensure the perpetuation of Visitors for future generations. Meanwhile, Eli Cohn (Guest star Oded Fehr) and the radical group of Fifth Column tries to convince Erica and our Fifth Column that the "Concordia" gala is the time to assassinate Anna, on "V," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET).
"DETROIT 1-8-7" - "Beaten/Cover Letter" - The devastating blows come left and right as Fitch, Washington, Stone and Sanchez invade the boxing world to investigate the death of Vanessa King. King's fianc�, Tommy Westin, is preparing for a big match against Dap "The Detroit Hammer" Fields. The detectives discover Vanessa, an ex-girlfriend of Fields', was hiding a closely guarded secret which could have thrown the fight and its payday into question. Meanwhile, Longford and Mahajan are forced to give a cold case a fresh look: It's been five years since James Lakeland died. Now Lakeland's mother rings new evidence to the squad. A love triangle is uncovered and the detectives must piece together Lakeland's two lives, the one with his wife and daughter and the other with his married lover who has hidden a crucial piece of the puzzle all these years. The detectives are confronted with tough ethical issues in order to bring a resolution to the case, on "Detroit 1-8-7," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET). Boxing legend Tommy Hearns, who grew up in Detroit, guest stars as himself.
"THE MIDDLE" - "Valentine's Day II" -- As Valentine's Day approaches, Frankie becomes elated when elusive son Axl asks her to accompany him to help pick out a present and choose a restaurant to impress his mysterious new girlfriend - who may be way out of his league. Meanwhile, Mike inadvertently spills the beans about Brick's crush on fellow student Autumn, which totally humiliates his extremely shy son; and having neglected to get a name or email address, Sue begins a diligent search for the boy she kissed during a Halloween hayride, on "The Middle," WEDNESDAY,
FEBRUARY 9 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET).
"BETTER WITH YOU" - "Better with Valentine's Day" - Casey has big plans for his first Valentine's Day with Mia. But Ben and Joel tell him that their rule is to never buy expensive Valentine's Day gifts for their ladies because doing so would set a costly precedent. Casey goes ahead with his plans anyway, and Ben realizes that he too wants to show Maddie how he feels. When Joel finds out, he decides to compete with them no matter the cost - and gets acclaimed singer/pianist Michael Feinstein to perform, on "Better with You," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET).
"MODERN FAMILY" - "Bixby's Back" -- In an attempt to avoid turning into that old boring couple, Phil and Claire decide to revisit their Clive and Juliana role-playing rendezvous from last Valentine's Day. Meanwhile Jay has planned an elaborate surprise evening for Gloria, but his plans keep getting thwarted, and an admirer comes between Cameron and Mitchell on V-day, but they can't agree whom the admiration is directed towards, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET).
"MR. SUNSHINE" - "PREMIERE" -- Matthew Perry stars as Ben Donovan, a self-involved manager of a San Diego sports arena, the Sunshine Center, where curious mishaps and bizarre requests are nothing more than ordinary, on the Premiere of the new comedy "Mr. Sunshine," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET). On what would have been just a typical day at work -- trying to get rid of a hockey rink that won't melt so the circus can go on that night, looking for an elephant lost in the building and arranging an impromptu press conference to repair one of his boss Crystal's (Allison Janney) PR nightmares - Alice (Andrea Anders) ends her casual relationship with Ben to commit to another man. This happens on Ben's 40th birthday, just as he's realizing he doesn't want to be alone.
"OFF THE MAP" - "I'm Here" -- When a scuba diving trip goes wrong, Ryan, Ben, Tommy and Mina race to save their patient underwater, while a flame from Zee's past returns to the clinic for an unconventional treatment, on "Off the Map," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET). Guest starring Jonathan Cake as Angus Sinclair, Nicolas Gonzalez as Mateo, Aimee Garcia as Alma, Tim Guinee as Nick and Bailey Nobles as Francesca.
"WIPEOUT" - "Winter Wipeout: This Little Piggy Went to Wipeout" -- "We've got frost on our Balls! Now do we have your attention?," asks host John Henson. The Holiday Hams make their presence felt when they leave chilly contestants glazed and confused as they're tossed in the air. Players like "The Hockey-Hottie," "Ripped Rhino" and "Mr. Grinch" receive a frosty reception from the Snowplow Sweeper and try to avoid the icy plunge off the Wipeout Ski Lift, as temperatures continue to drop with each arctic blast launched their way. In the end, there will only be three who conquer the snow-laden course on their way to earn a spot in the Winter Wipeout Zone, with the winner taking home $50,000 dollars. (Pretty Young Thing)" -- Meredith and Lexie's father, Thatcher Grey, returns to Seattle Grace with stomach pains and a new, twenty-something tattooed girlfriend, Danielle; meanwhile Alex clashes with the new OB, Dr. Lucy Fields, over a patient and Mark places Jackson on his service in exchange for information on Lexie, on "Grey's Anatomy," THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET).
"PRIVATE PRACTICE" - "Blind Love" -- Charlotte's attacker, Lee Henry (guest star Nicholas Brendan), arrives at St. Ambrose Hospital, injured by his girlfriend and in need of urgent care, and Sam and Charlotte must decide whether or not to save his life; meanwhile, Susan's health takes a turn for the worse, and Addison's mother, Bizzy, begs her daughter to do everything in her power to help, on "Private Practice," THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET).
"BE MY VALENTINE, CHARLIE BROWN" & "A CHARLIE BROWN VALENTINE" - "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown," a "PEANUTS" special produced and animated by the same team that gave us the now classic holiday specials and taken directly from the late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz's famed comic strip, will air with the classic "A Charlie Brown Valentine" (OAD: 2/14/02), FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 11 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET). In "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown," hearts are fluttering on Valentine's Day at Birchwood School, and Linus has brought a huge box of candy for his homeroom teacher. Thinking that the candy is for her, Sally reciprocates with a homemade card for Linus. Lucy meanwhile, demands some affection from Schroeder, and Charlie Brown waits for his cards in the mail� and waits� and waits�. The special stars Duncan Watson (Charlie Brown), Stephen Shea (Linus), Melanie Kohn (Lucy), Greg Felton (Schroeder), Lynn Mortensen (Sally) and Linda Ercoli (Violet). In "A Charlie Brown Valentine," Charlie Brown finally works up the courage to call the little red-haired girl to ask her to the Valentine's Day dance. But once again he ends up broken-hearted and empty-handed when he dials the wrong number and reaches Peppermint Patty instead. "20/20"-- "Wrong Turn: The Kati Kim Story"-- It was Thanksgiving 2006 when the Kim family from San Francisco vanished without a trace. James Kim was travelling with his wife, Kati, and their two young children, four years old and seven months old, when they took a wrong turn in a blizzard and became desperately lost deep in the Oregon wilderness. "AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS" -- "Episode 2114" -- On the second $100,000 episode of the season, contenders for the prize include: "Jersey Shortie," in which a 4-year-old is inconsolable when he finds out he's too young to run for governor; "Car Seat Stink Eye," in which a little boy, annoyed with his crying cousin, decides to do the same; "Towel Terror," when a little girl is frightened by her brother's bunny towel; "Longing for Lipstick," in which a little girl is disappointed with her present of a bike; "Sticker Shock," where a boy plants stickers all over his little sister's face; and "Prosecuting the Poodles," in which, armed with a flip cam, a woman interrogates three poodles about who's pissing around (literally) in her living room, on "America's Funniest Home Videos," SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 13 (7:00-8:00 p.m., ET)
"EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION" - "Hurston Family" - The Hurston family from Cocoa, Florida have been used to doing for others. For over 25 years, they have flown their 40-year-old Cessna airplane to disasters all over the world, bringing water purifiers, medical supplies and food to those in need. When the home of this family of international relief workers became entirely flooded, it was time for them to be on the receiving end. In addition to building Joe and Cindy Hurston and their three children a new home, the "EM: HE" design team will provide them with an unprecedented gift enabling them to continue their life-saving work. This episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," airs SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 13 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).
"DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES" - "Flashback" -- Lynette fights back when her mother, Stella (Polly Bergen), tries to force the Scavos to pose for a family portrait with her obnoxious new husband, Frank (Larry Hagman). Meanwhile, Susan is presented with a kidney donation from an unlikely source, Gaby refuses to confront her past while undergoing therapy to discover what's causing her underlying obsession with her doll, Bree continues to keep the existence of Keith's son a secret from him, and Mike reaches out to biological son Zach to see if he was involved in adopted father Paul's shooting, on "Desperate Housewives," SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 13 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET). "BROTHERS & SISTERS" - "The One That Got Away"-- The Walkers' plans to celebrate Valentine's Day go horribly awry when Tommy tells Sarah about another secret that Nora has kept buried since they were kids and Saul's hopes for a romantic evening with Jonathan (Richard Chamberlain) are dashed by a visiting high profile food critic, on "Brothers & Sisters," SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 13 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET).
"THE BACHELOR" - "Episode 1507" -- The show travels to the romantic Caribbean island of Anguilla with the pressure mounting on Brad as he struggles to decide which four women he will escort home to meet their families. There will be three one-on-one dates, as well as a three-on-one date this week. There only will be a rose at stake on the group date, with that woman guaranteed a hometown date. Brad and the women tour the island's beautiful beaches and enjoy the local cuisine and culture, including a performance by Anguillan reggae superstar Bankie Banx. A steamy photo shoot group date intensifies the rivalry between the women. Tensions run high as the bachelorettes' feelings for Brad grow, but only four can remain - the four lucky ones who will invite him into their families' homes -- on "The Bachelor," MONDAY, FEBRUARY 14 (8:00-10:01p.m., ET). Chris Harrison is the host.
"CASTLE" - "The Final Nail" - Castle and Beckett find themselves on opposite sides of the case when Castle's old school friend (Guest star Jason Wiles) emerges as the prime suspect in his own wife's murder. As they work to solve the crime, Castle comes to realize that one of two terrible things must be true -- either Detective Beckett is about to arrest an innocent man for murder, or his old friend is a cold-blooded killer, on "Castle," MONDAY, FEBRUARY 14 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET).
"NO ORDINARY FAMILY" - "No Ordinary Powell" -- The Powells' lives are in danger when Dr. King orders shape-shifter Victoria Morrow (Guest star Rebecca Mader, "Lost") to infiltrate the household and murder one of the family members; and JJ, with the aid of Daphne, attempts to solve the cold case murder of his ex-girlfriend Natalie's mother, on "No Ordinary Family," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 15 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).
"V"- "Siege" - Anna, enraged at the increasing audacity of the Fifth Column attacks, enlists Ryan in an attempt to wipe out the Fifth Column in one fell swoop. Also, Father Travis, following Vatican orders, asks Jack to leave the church. Meanwhile, Lisa meets Diana, her grandmother, who Anna said was dead, for the first time, on "V," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 15 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET).
"DETROIT 1-8-7" - "Legacy/Drag City" - When Longford and Mahajan are assigned the case of a woman bludgeoned to death, they're in for plenty of surprises. Upon further inspection, they discover that she was a he, a prominent drag queen in Detroit's drag circuit. Ardent admirers and jealous divas are among the likely suspects the detectives encounter as they explore the public and private sides of the victim's life. Elsewhere in Detroit, Fitch and Washington investigate an ex-con's confession that he killed two rival gang members in self-defense. Here too, everything's not quite as it seems: There's a secret that the shooter isn't revealing, and it extends the case well beyond the gang rivalry. Finally a mysterious woman from Stone's past reappears just in time to complicate his budding relationship with Sanchez, on "Detroit 1-8-7," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 15 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET).
"THE MIDDLE" - "Friends, Lies, and Videotape" -- Fearing that a friendless Brick could be missing out on his childhood, Frankie makes it her mission to find a suitable friend for him. Meanwhile, after Mike forbids Sue from seeing an R-rated film, she goes against her father's wishes and sneaks into a movie theater with her friend, Carly; and Axl and his band need a hot chick to appear in their online music video and try to shoot footage of their sexy biology teacher, Ms. Devereaux (Kristin Cavallari, "The Hills") - without her knowledge or consent -- on "The Middle," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 16 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET).
"BETTER WITH YOU" -- "Better with a Leather Jacket" - The job interview-bound Casey, unaware that bad luck always follows the wearer of a particular leather jacket, borrows it without telling anyone. Everyone recalls their own bad experience while wearing the jacket, including Ben, who accidentally dropped a blanket on New York Yankee outfielder Nick Swisher when he was trying to catch a fly ball, on "Better with You," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 16 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET).
"MODERN FAMILY" - "Princess Party" - The guest list for Lily's princess-themed birthday party gets a little out of hand when Mitchell decides to invite mom, much to Claire's dismay, and disinvite Fizbo, much to Cameron's dismay. Things get even more strange when Dede (guest star Shelley Long) shows up with Claire's old high school boyfriend (guest star Matt Dillon) in tow, and Jay and Gloria each turn to their own unique methods of dealing with this gathering of misfits, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 16 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET).
"MR. SUNSHINE" - "Employee of the Year" - Nick Jonas guest stars as teen heartthrob Eli White on ABC's "Mr. Sunshine," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 16 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET). Crystal decides to hold a contest to determine the Employee of the Year, but unbeknownst to the staff, a winner has already been pre-determined. Meanwhile, as Ben contends with catering to Eli's needs, he must also keep the rest of the employees from being distracted by the fake contest and get the arena ready in time for Eli's performance.
"OFF THE MAP" - "It's Good" -- When a robbery leaves the clinic without any medication, Otis has to face his personal demons with sobriety in order to save a patient and Ryan meets a young patient with a disease she is far too familiar with, on "Off the Map," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 16 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET). Guest starring Mark Adair-Rios as Armondo, Jayne Brook as Lynn, Alex Fernandez as Guillermo, Nicholas Gonzalez as Mateo, Cheech Marin as Papa and Judy Reyes as Eva.
"WIPEOUT"-- "Winter Wipeout: Some People Just Don't Know When to Quit" - Host John Henson says, "You can't spell 'winner' without 'Winter Wipeout.' At least I think you can't...I don't test well."
