BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. (July 29, 2011) - MTV today announced during its presentation at the July 2011 Television Critics Association Press Tour, that its new animation block series "Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head" and "Good Vibes" will premiere on October 27, 2011, at 10:00pm and 10:30pm ET/PT, respectively. In addition, the network announced that the pilot episode of new scripted comedy series, "I Just Want My Pants Back," will air as a special sneak peek immediately following the 2011 Video Music Awards, on August 28 at 11:00pm ET/PT. The series will officially debut on MTV in early 2012. Also announced were the renewals of hit series "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew" for a seventh season and "Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory" for a fifth season.

MIKE JUDGE'S BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD

In 1993, Mike Judge (creator of Beavis and Butt-head) and MTV knocked their heads together and launched a cartoon series starring a couple of lunkheads and unwittingly started an animated pop culture revolution! Almost as soon as the world's most famous knucklehead teenage tandem wearing heavy-metal T-shirts reared their ugly heads, they became self-appointed arbiters of "cool." But, for the most part, Beavis and Butt-Head spent their time just sitting on a couch making fun of MTV's music video staples and talking about stuff that "sucked."

Now, the boys who created a cultural dialogue for an entire generation are back! Beavis and Butt-Head are set to make their triumphant return to MTV this fall for 12 episodes to unleash their hilarious perspective on today's society, music and pop culture. Commenting on everything from music videos, reality TV shows, movies, mixed martial arts, viral videos and more, Beavis and Butt-head are returning to your television screen - giving familiar fans and a whole new audience the chance to experience and laugh at America's favorite animated dim-witted duo. Series premieres October 27 at 10:00pm ET/PT.

Good Vibes

"Good Vibes" is an epic beach party that captures not only the thrills and excitement of teenage life, but also the heartfelt frustrations. We follow the wild-but-relatable stories of Mondo and Woodie, as they try to navigate the hormone-fueled world of high school, life-changing first experiences, and the complexities of family life. Their challenges are universal; however, for Mondo and Woodie, it just so happens to be set against the backdrop of some of the best beaches on the West Coast. On these beaches, the vibe is eternally youthful, the girls wear string bikinis, and the summer feels endless.

This 12-episode half-hour coming-of-age animated comedy will follow transplanted Jersey boy Mondo (voiced by Josh Gad) and his best bud Woodie (voiced by Adam Brody) as they surf the biggest waves, hit the wildest parties and chase the prettiest girls in Playa Del Toro - a colorful California beach community. The all-star ensemble cast also features the voice of Debi Mazar as 'Babs' Mondo's mom; Alan Tudyk as 'Lonnie' a burnt-out but wise beach bum; Danny McBride as 'Ms. Teets' a massively overweight and inappropriate human sexuality teacher; Olivia Thirlby as 'Jeena' the beautiful girl of Mondo's dreams; Jake Busey as 'Turk,' an obnoxious local surfer and bully; and Tony Hale as 'Wadska,' a charmingly nerdy and delusional friend. The animated comedy is set to premiere October 27 at 10:30pm ET/PT.

The series was created by David Gordon Green ("Pineapple Express" and "Your Highness") and is animated by Six Point Harness. Executive producers include Green, as well as Tom Brady ("The Simpsons," "The Critic, "The Hot Chick"), Tom Werner ("The Cosby Show," "Roseanne", "That 70's Show"), Mike Clements ("Life and Times of Tim," "Are You There Vodka, It's Me Chelsea") and Brad Ableson ("The Simpsons"). Clay Spencer serves as the executive in charge of production for MTV.

I JUST WANT MY PANTS BACK

"I Just Want My Pants Back" will follow series lead 'Jason Strider,' played by up-and-coming actor Peter Vack, and his friends as they navigate the minefield of their post-collegiate years. From acclaimed director and executive producer Doug Liman ("Mr. and Mrs. Smith, "Swingers," "Go," "Bourne Identity") and based upon David J. Rosen's critically acclaimed novel of the same name, the series will feature 12 half-hour episodes. Production began July 2011 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and the series will premiere in early 2012.

Struggling with sex, love, career and friendship as a young twentysomething living in Brooklyn, Jason is the ultimate slacker who puts hanging with his friends, going to bars and hooking up above his entry level job where he's the lowest rung at a casting agency. It's not until a one night stand steals his heart and his pants, that he begins a quest to get his beloved jeans back, and hopefully the girl who took them, while also growing up along the way.

The series will also star Kim Shaw as Jason's best friend 'Tina;' Jordan Carlos as 'Eric' and Elisabeth Hower as 'Stacey,' the cohabitating couple; Sunkrish Bala as 'Bobby' the owner of the local bodega and will guest star Chris Parnell as 'J.B.,' Jason's no-nonsense boss at the casting agency.

"I Just Want My Pants Back" is a co-production with Universal Cable Productions. The pilot was written by Rosen and directed by Doug Liman. Executive producers include Liman, David Bartis and Rosen. Gene Klein is co-executive producer. David Janollari, Justin Levy and Clay Spencer are the MTV executives in charge of production.
