THE BUFFALOS (ABC, New!) - Dan Martin ("Emily's Reasons Why Not") has snagged a script order from the Alphabet for what's being billed as "a multigenerational workplace comedy set inside an old-school private club." No other auspices or format details were given.

HOW TO MAKE IT IN AMERICA (HBO) - Director/executive producer Julian Farino has signed a two-year overall deal with the pay channel. The pact calls for Farino to spearhead new projects for the studio, including directing and executive producing the comedy pilot "40," starring Ed Burns and Michael Rappaport and executive produced by Jim Lefkowitz, David Knoller and Doug Ellin. Farino will likewise develop his new series projects for the network.
INNOCENT (TNT) - Marcia Gay Harden and Mariana Klaveno have both been cast in the upcoming telefilm, based on Scott Turow's sequel to "Presumed Innocent." Klaveno will play "a court clerk whose relationships with Rusty Sabich (Pullman) and his son come into the limelight after Sabich is charged with the murder of his wife," while Harden's role wasn't specified. Mike Robe is spearheading the project as part of TNT's new "Tuesday Night Mystery Movie" franchise.

CBS and Lifetime previously took stabs at an adaptation, while Scarlett Johansson, Laura Linney and Paul Giamatti toplined the 2007 film incarnation. ABC Studios is producing.
