New York, NY - November 07, 2011 - The boys are back and there's gonna be some trouble! Season nine of "That Metal Show" kicks off on National Metal Day (11-11-11) with an exclusive interview with Guns N' Roses lead singer and original member, Axl Rose and lead guitarist Dj Ashba. In his first television interview in over a decade, Rose opens up about his new band mates, touring, rumors, misconceptions and much more. The premiere episode of "That Metal Show" with Axl Rose airs Friday, November 11 at 11 PM ET/PT on VH1 Classic.

Named one of the greatest singers of all time by "Rolling Stone," Rose, the only remaining original member of Guns N' Roses, gives an exclusive interview to "That Metal Show" discussing intimate details of his past, present and future. The notoriously private singer opens up to "That Metal Show" hosts Eddie Trunk, Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine in a one-hour sit down interview shortly after leaving the stage in Orlando on Saturday, October 29. In this no-holds-barred interview, Rose divulges why he is touring now, what his fans and music mean to him, his past albums, future music plans, and offers intimate revelations behind some of his most famous hits such as "Welcome to the Jungle," "Sweet Child Of Mine" and much more. Following an explosive premiere with Axl Rose, the ninth season of "That Metal Show" continues with a blistering line-up of rock royalty. "Behind The Music Remastered: Megadeth" dives into the lives of the champions of thrash metal for the last thirty years, Megadeth. Updated since its original episode, Dave Mustaine's crippling hand injury which threatens the bands survival, a painful lawsuit and more walkouts of band members. Now they're in the Big Four and still aiming for the top spot, but even if Dave Mustaine is happy with the new lineup he remains unhappy about their ranking in the top ten of heavy metal - still behind Metallica.

The premiere episode of "Metal Evolution Chapter 1: Pre-Metal" will focus on Pre-Metal, the earliest sounds of metal that can be heard in the music of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Jimi Hendrix. "Metal Evolution" is an 11-episode docu-series produced by Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn of Banger Films and is based on the groundbreaking "Heavy Metal Family Tree." The "Heavy Metal Family Tree" is a 26 sub-genre genealogical chart which reveals the vast complex progeny of heavy metal - from Early Metal and Shock Rock to Thrash, from Progressive Metal to Grunge and Nu Metal.
