LITTLE BROTHER (FOX) - T.J. Miller ("Carpoolers") has booked the title role on the comedy pilot, about "a man who finds out that he has a half-brother (Miller) he never knew about who also happens to be an ex-con." His casting lifts said contingency off the pilot's production. Mike Royce is behind the half-hour, which is set up at 20th Century Fox Television, 21 Laps/Adelstein Productions and Hat Trick Productions with Marty Adelstein, Michael Thorn, Becky Clements and Jimmy Mulville also serving as executive producers. Fintan Ryan, who penned the original script, will receive a co-executive producer credit. (Deadline.com)


WE'LL BE OUT BY CHRISTMAS (ABC, New!) - Steve Pink and Jeff Morris are developing a new hybrid comedy at the Alphabet based on real-life experiences of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Tom Sherak and his producer wife Madeleine when their daughter moved back into the family home with her three kids while her husband while getting his MBA. Pink and Morris then will pen the half-hour and executive produce alongside the Sheraks, their son William, and Jason Shuman via their respective companies My Bench Produtions and Blue Star Entertainment. Said effort was originally sold as a feature, written by Kristen Buckley and Brian Regan, to Paramount in 2009. (Deadline.com)
