Narrated by EMMY Award Winner Martin Sheen, Film Celebrates Black History Month and Provides an Inside Look the Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; DirecTV GOES TO SCHOOL and Discovery Education to Provide Classrooms Access to a Unique Look at the Civil Rights Movement

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- DirecTV will celebrate Black History month with the premiere of More Than A Dream, a DirecTV Original Entertainment documentary about the Civil Rights Movement and the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. More Than A Dream will air on Monday, Feb. 13 at 9 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 4:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17 at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. exclusively on Audience Network (all times Eastern). The documentary features first-hand accounts from civil rights leaders who worked alongside Dr. King and provides a never-before-seen look at the Civil Rights Movement in the U.S. The documentary is narrated by EMMY and Golden Globe Award-winner Martin Sheen and features perspectives from General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret.), Congressman John Lewis (D-Georgia) and sportscaster James Brown.

More Than A Dream, which focuses on key events in the Civil Rights Movement including the Montgomery Bus Boycott, will be available to nearly 20 million DirecTV customers on the AUDIENCE Network. Also, 8,000 schools across the country will be able to view it as part of the DirecTV GOES TO SCHOOL program.

These resources, aligned to national standards, include a chaptered version of the documentary for classroom use with corresponding teacher guides.
