INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY'S HIT SERIES "ON THE CASE WITH PAULA ZAHN" RETURNS FOR SIXTH SEASON STARTING SUNDAY, JUNE 3 AT 10 PM ET

(Silver Spring, MD) - This June, Investigation Discovery launches an all-new sixth season of its signature newsmagazine, ON THE CASE WITH PAULA ZAHN. Led by Emmy Award-winning journalist Paula Zahn, ON THE CASE features in-depth interviews and original reporting that go beyond the headlines in search of fascinating mysteries from within our nation's justice system. Each episode is highlighted by Zahn's riveting exclusive interviews, which draw out different viewpoints from the people personally connected to tragedies that rocked their local community and the investigations that attempted to piece together the truth. ON THE CASE WITH PAULA ZAHN returns with a 13-episode sixth season, premiering Sunday, June 3 at 10 PM ET.

"ON THE CASE WITH PAULA ZAHN is a cornerstone franchise for Investigation Discovery and has significantly contributed to the network's unprecedented explosive growth over the past three years," said Henry Schleiff, president and general manager of Investigation Discovery. "Paula's intelligence, empathy, and unique journalistic skill pervade each episode of this series, which exemplifies the network's dedication to producing the best crime and justice storytelling in all of television."

The first six episodes of ON THE CASE WITH PAULA ZAHN's sixth season include:

Mystery in the Desert Sunday, June 3 at 10 PM ET When a couple is murdered execution style in the Arizona desert, it marks the beginning of a fifty-year search for the truth. Who actually killed them and what was their motivation? After decades of investigations and two trials, this controversial case remains shrouded in mystery including a claim that an innocent man was framed by his ex-wife for both murders.

Innocent Witness Sunday, June 10 at 10 PM ET When Rhonda Boggs is discovered murdered in her own kitchen, police get an important lead from the only witness to the crime, Boggs' two-year-old daughter. The authorities are able to make a quick arrest, but the investigation needs to continue to ensure the right person is convicted. Zahn sits down with one suspect, who speaks about his harrowing experience for the first time, and retraces the intricacies of the investigation, including a shocking and controversial confession.

Dirty Secrets Sunday, June 17 at 10 PM ET How did seventeen-year-old Joanna Rogers disappear from her home in the middle of the night? It was a question that baffled the Lubbock police, and the mystery may never have been solved without the evidence found during another murder investigation. To piece together what happened to Rogers, police painstakingly track leads, including of all things, a barcode tag on luggage found in a landfill.

Over The Edge Sunday, June 24 at 10 PM ET Police are called to the scene of what appears to be a tragic car wreck in the Blue Ridge Mountains. But as investigators examine the crash site, they realize Wendy Kratzert's death was no accident. As they follow a startling trail of betrayal back to their prime suspect, they uncover another mysterious disappearance. Zahn sits down with Wendy's husband, Ed Kratzert, who shares his version of events for the first time outside of the courtroom.

Hanging By A Thread Sunday, July 1 at 10 PM ET Florida's Hillsborough County is in the midst of a horrifying crime spree with young women turning up dead every week. However, can one teenager's bravery bring an end to a serial killer's reign of terror? Zahn interviews Lisa McVey, who shares her haunting story of survival after encountering Bobby Joe Long and nearly becoming his next victim.

The Rivers Edge Sunday, July 8 at 10 PM ET When seventeen-year-old high school student Stacey Fairchild disappears from a mall parking lot, Lancaster, Ohio police wonder if she ran away, was she kidnapped, or succumbed to a worst fate. Zahn speaks with a young woman who escaped from an attack inside a tanning salon and helped police link DNA from her attacker to the Fairchild mystery.
