NBC PRESENTS "THE CLIOS: WORLD'S BEST COMMERCIALS" IN A PRIMETIME SPECIAL JULY 25 AT 8 P.M. ET, HOSTED BY JB SMOOVE

NEW YORK, NY - May 31, 2012 - NBC will bring "The CLIOS: World's Best Commercials" to network television in a one-hour primetime special Wednesday, July 25 from 8-9 PM ET, hosted by comedian JB Smoove and produced by JUMA Entertainment. These commercials, all nominated for CLIO recognition, feature some of the biggest names in television, movies and sports, including Jason Bateman, Kevin Bacon, Will Arnett, Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan.

"The CLIOS: World's Best Commercials" is a boundary-pushing celebration of the most innovative commercials and advertising campaigns from around the world, including the United States, The Netherlands, Australia, Denmark, Finland and Argentina. This special presentation will showcase more than 50 of the year's best commercials, featuring a family rapping about their minivan, the most talented goldfish in the world and an employee with a sword obsession. The show will also allow viewers to recognize the prestigious inductees to the Clio Awards Hall of Fame.

JB Smoove, a multi-talented writer, comedian and actor starred with Amanda Peet, David Walton and Jeffrey Tambor in the NBC comedy "Bent." He earned rave reviews for his role as Leon Black on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and has been featured on "The Chris Rock Show," "American Dad," "'Til Death" and "Everybody Hates Chris." In the standup comedy world, Smoove has performed on Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd," "Jamie Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza," "Cedric The Entertainer Presents," "The Tonight Show," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Def Comedy Jam" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." He has written for "Saturday Night Live" and appeared in films including "Mr. Deeds," "Date Night," and "Hall Pass."
