NBC TO AIR THE SECOND ANNUAL AMERICAN GIVING AWARDS PRESENTED BY CHASE, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 8

$2 Million in Chase Grants to be Given to Five Charities Voted on by Chase Customers and Fans of Chase Community Giving on Facebook

NEW YORK, NY, September 5, 2012 - NBC will broadcast the second annual American Giving Awards, presented by Chase, on Saturday, December 8 from 8-10pm ET, from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

Produced by dick clark productions and Intersport, the AGAs are the first-ever televised celebrity tribute to recognize community heroes. The AGAs will grant a total of $2 million to five featured charitable organizations, which are voted on from a list of 25 previous Chase Community Giving (CCG) grant recipients. The organization with the most votes from Chase customers and Facebook users will receive a $1 million grant, the runner-up will be granted $500,000, a third organization will receive a $250,000 grant and two will be given $125,000 grants.

"We are proud to once again present this entertaining and important telecast," said Doug Vaughan, Senior Vice President, Special Programs and Late Night for NBC. "We hope that this event will bring national recognition and support to all of the causes being celebrated."

Each charity organization will represent one of five pre-determined categories recognizing the "building blocks" of our communities:

· Educators & Mentors Award: For empowering our communities through education

· Heroes & Leaders Award: For outstanding community contributions to human rights and social services

· Champions of Health & Wellness: For improving health and wellbeing in our communities

· Community Builders Award: For excellence in serving our communities

· Youth Developers Award: For inspiring and nurturing our youth that will help build stronger communities.

"Coming off the success of last year's American Giving Awards, we are delighted to once again shine a spotlight on some incredible local charities who are changing lives and making a real impact in their communities every day," said Kimberly Davis, President of the JPMorgan Chase Foundation. "We know viewers will be entertained, but we hope they will also be inspired to get involved."

Chase Community Giving was introduced in 2009 as a new way forward for giving. It's a program that lets fans of CCG, and now Chase customers, vote to help determine where Chase donates millions of dollars. Since the program's inception, nearly 3.5 million Facebook users have "liked" Chase Community Giving. In total, millions of people have helped Chase donate over $20 million to over 500 charities in 41 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. Chase Community Giving is part of JPMorgan Chase's annual giving, which totals more than $150 million each year.

Voting for the American Giving Awards will take place on Facebook and Chase.com. For more information on the program and how to vote, please visit www.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving.
