THE BRITISH ARE COMING TO STYLE WITH THE PREMIERE OF "MADE IN CHELSEA" ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12 AT 8PM ET/PT

LOS ANGELES -- September 11, 2012 - Style Media has acquired the US rights to the UK's #1 docu-soap, "Made in Chelsea" from NBCUniversal Cable & New Media Distribution. The series follows the lives and loves of a group of fashionable, elite twenty-somethings who live and party in one of London's most exclusive postal codes - Chelsea. Produced by Monkey Kingdom, "Made in Chelsea" will begin airing on Monday, November 12 at 8pm ET/PT with back-to-back episodes on Style.

The flashy, fashion-forward series follows the lives, loves and careers of a group of eight globetrotting friends who live in and around some of London's most exclusive neighborhoods. Like any other group of young people, there is drama -- from ex-loves to backstabbing frenemies -- only it all plays out against the glittering backdrop of the London social scene. Polo fields, chic parties, the occasional private jet -- it's good to be young, beautiful and on top of the world.

"With a keen on eye on fashion and trends, we are confident our viewers will gravitate towards 'Made in Chelsea' and fall in love with these fashion obsessed, upscale, sexy twenty-somethings," said Katie Buchanan, SVP, Programming and Acquisitions, Style.

"We are thrilled to help bring 'Made in Chelsea' to U.S. television," said Ashley Kraska, Director, Sales, NBCUniversal Cable & New Media Distribution. "Style - with its targeted brand and audience - is a perfect platform on which to launch this stylish programming."

In the premiere episode, the group comes together for a glamorous jewelry launch party hosted by 20-year-old socialite and entrepreneur, Amber Atherton. The event reunites childhood sweethearts Caggie and Spencer, who despite still having strong feelings for each other, are separated by the fact that Spencer lives with model girlfriend, Funda. Managing the guest list is flamboyant Ollie Locke, whose best girl friends Binky and Cheska are always by his side. Cheska, the writer of the "Girl About Town" blog, details the most admired parties and people on the Chelsea social scene. Whether this blog will go down well with party host, Amber, and her best friend, Rosie, is another matter. Also on the exclusive guest list is Spencer's best mate and diamond mining heir, Francis Boulle, and international model, Fredrik Ferrier. With this kind of pedigree, it's sure to be a wild night.

"Made in Chelsea" originally premiered in the UK in May 2011, and recently wrapped its third season. The series is produced by Monkey Kingdom and distributed by NBCUniversal.
