NEW YORK, NY - May 28, 2026 - A&E to air four-hour, two-part documentary "Scott Peterson: The New Evidence" this July, revisiting one of the most scrutinized criminal cases in American history. The special revisits the investigation through the lens of newly surfaced evidence, presenting a fresh and deeply detailed perspective on a case that has remained both high-profile and deeply polarizing. The two-night event begins with Part 1 on Thursday, July 16 at 9pm ET/PT followed by Part 2 on Friday, July 17 at 8pm ET/PT.

More than twenty years after the tragic deaths of Laci and Conner Peterson, multiple petitions filed by Scott Peterson's defense team have introduced additional points of new evidence that may challenge key aspects of the case. While the latest petition is currently moving through the appeals process, it continues to raise significant questions and could impact public understanding of the case, including arguments pointing toward Peterson's possible innocence.

Led by veteran defense attorney and ABC News legal consultant Chris Pixley, the documentary delivers a meticulous analysis of recent developments, including never before heard witness testimony and first-hand insight from Peterson's former defense attorney, Mark Geragos and others closest to the case including key experts from the prosecution. Through exclusive expert interviews, cutting-edge scientific analysis such as fetal biometric studies and tidal pattern data, "Scott Peterson: The New Evidence" presents a compelling and multidimensional exploration of events to examine previously unexplored angles and shed new light on lingering questions.
