This summer marks the 25th anniversary of the launch of one of the most iconic film franchises in cinema history. On June 22, 2001, Universal Pictures released The Fast and the Furious, a high-octane thriller set amid the street-racing culture of Los Angeles. The film - starring Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, Paul Walker as Brian O'Conner, Jordana Brewster as Mia and Michelle Rodriguez as Letty - would ignite a cultural phenomenon.
