THE BREW CREW (FOX, New!) - Kevin Biggins and Travis Bowe ("The Cleveland Show") have booked a new comedy at the network about "two polar-opposite brothers who try to co-exist as owners of the second-largest brewery in a small town in Oregon." The project comes from the 20th Century Fox Television-based Imagine Television with the company's David Nevins and Francie Calfo presumably executive producing alongside the duo. (Deadline.com)

FRIEND ME (CBS) - Amanda Lund ("Entry Level") has joined the cast of the midseason comedy, about two 20-something best friends (Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Nicholas Braun) who just moved from Indiana to Los Angeles to start cool new jobs, but can't agree on how to socially engage in their new city. She'll play "the upbeat and often socially awkward Amanda Baxter, new to Los Angeles, alone after a break-up, and eager to move on with her life. Working for a caterer with dreams one day to be a chef, she finds the first friends of her new life in her neighbors Rob and Evan." Ajay Sahgal and Alan Kirschenbaum are behind the CBS Television Studios-based project, which also stars Dan Ahdoot, Parvesh Cheena and Tim Robinson. (Deadline.com)

M.I.C.E. (NBC) - The Peacock has closed a put pilot commitment for the Peter Berg-produced spy drama, the title for which stands for Money, Ideology, Coercion and Ego - the motives of spies in betraying their countries. The project is based on the Israeli format "The Gordin Cell," about a decorated Air Force officer in a high-security post whose former Russian spy parents are newly tasked with recruiting their son into espionage activity. Berg will write and direct the hour for his Universal Television-based Film 44 banner with Sarah Aubrey, Avi Nir, Giora Yahalom, Yona Wiesenthal, Ron Lesham and Amit Cohen also executive producing via their respective companies Keshet Media Group and Tedy Productions. (Deadline.com)

THE NUTSHELL STUDIES OF UNEXPLAINED DEATH (HBO, New!) - Corinne May Botz's tome, "a Hitchcockian drama about a 1950s small-town housewife who becomes obsessed with solving brutal crimes," is being developed as a drama at the pay channel. Guillermo del Toro is on board to executive produce and direct the potential hour with Sara Gran ("Southland") writing and serving as a co-executive producer. Toro's manager Gary Unger will also receive an executive producer credit with Botz herself acting as a consultant. (THR.com)

RISE & FALL (ABC, New!) - Tony Basgallop (BBC America's "Inside Men") has sold a potential drama to the network "described as a high-concept thriller about the events that precipitate and immediately follow the kidnapping of a wealthy Chicago businesswoman, told from the POV of her ne'er-do-well son who must unravel the truth about what happened in order to clear his name." The project is set up at the ABC Studios-based Second Season banner with Laurie Zaks executive producing alongside Basgallop. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED DAVID SHORE PROJECT (ABC, New!) - "House" creator David Shore has snagged a pilot production order from the Alphabet for a new drama about "a former cop who's now a cunning but charming low-rent lawyer who uses his street smarts to work the system for his clients while battling his own demons and wooing his ex-wife." Sony Pictures Television is behind the hour, home to Shore's recently signed three-year overall deal. (Deadline.com)

WUNDERLAND (The CW, New!) - Chad Hodge ("The Playboy Club") has booked a contemporary reimagining of "Alice in Wonderland" at the netlet about "a young female detective in present-day Los Angeles who discovers another world that exists under the surface of this ultra-modern city." McG and Peter Johnson's Warner Bros. Television-based Wonderland Sound and Vision is behind the hour, which they'll executive produce alongside Hodge. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - "Felicity" co-creator Matt Reeves has inked an overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television (Deadline.com); Joe Lo Truglio will guest two episodes of "How I Met Your Mother" as another partner in Marshall's law firm (EW.com); Amanda Tapping is set to recur on "Supernatural" as part of "a new group of angels we've never seen before" while Mike Farrell will guest star as "an aging mentalist with a slippery grasp on reality" (TVLine.com); Leisha Hailey and Constance Zimmer will guest on "The New Normal" as a lesbian couple who are good friends with Bryan and David while John Benjamin Hickey will also turn up in an unspecified role (THR.com); Amy Irving and Ken Leung will both recur on ABC's midseason drama "Zero Hour" (Deadline.com); Charlie Hofheimer likewise has booked an arc on "Private Practice" as "a father whose daughter goes missing from the hospital" (Deadline.com); and Harrison Thomas is bound for Cinemax's "Banshee" as Jason Hood (Deadline.com).
