"HOTEL FIXER" ANTHONY MELCHIORRI RETURNS FOR SECOND SEASON OF TRAVEL CHANNEL'S "HOTEL IMPOSSIBLE" ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 3 AT 10:00 P.M. ET/PT

New Designers Join The Show Providing Their Own Expertise To Help Turn These Struggling Properties Around

"AFTER ANTHONY" SPECIAL TO PREMIERE ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2013

CHEVY CHASE, MD (November 7, 2012) - Travel Channel has set a wake-up call for 13 more hotels struggling to stay afloat in an all-new season of "Hotel Impossible" premiering on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. Host and "hotel fixer" Anthony Melchiorri is back to save failing hotels for season two of the critically-acclaimed original series. Armed with a team of designers to help turn things around, Melchiorri convinces the hotel staff and owners to let go of the reins and take his advice seriously or be prepared to lose everything. In addition, Travel Channel's one-hour special, "After Anthony," premiering on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, follows Melchiorri back to some of the most memorable hotels from the first season to see if the owners have kept up his recommendations and if business is improving.

"Since the first season launched, we've heard from hundreds of hotel owners around the world begging for Anthony's help," said Andy Singer, GM, Travel Channel. "Season two will throw the spotlight on different hotels with new challenges that Anthony, and his team of designers, must face in a limited time to help turn the business around."

The new season will continue to feature hotels that are either not living up to their potential, or on the verge of closing. Anthony Melchiorri assesses each property and identifies its biggest problems. He then meets with the staff, from front desk receptionists to housekeeping to the owners themselves, to determine the key operation issues. Joining our hotel expert on location are a variety of highly experienced designers including Blanche Garcia, Casey Noble and Alison Victoria, who will help transform key spaces in each hotel. As in last season, Melchiorri has just days to formulate a plan, revamp the hotel and re-motivate its staff. For some hotel owners, this is their last hope.

In the premiere episode, Melchiorri heads to the island getaway Caribe Playa Beach Resort to reinvigorate a hotel that's a mere ten steps away from the beautiful tropical beaches of Puerto Rico. Owner George Engel struggles to make revenue off this prime real estate, which hasn't seen a profit since 2006. Melchiorri's first order of business is to resolve a sticky family situation - Engel's wife Francis, failing miserably as the hotel's General Manager. Then, Melchiorri enlists returning designer Blanche Garcia to help redesign the chaotic front desk, in addition to remodeling the guest rooms to resemble a five-star accommodation. Meanwhile, Melchiorri works with Engel to hire a new, experienced General Manager to manage the day-to-day tasks that Francis Engel struggled to handle. With the resort's new management, coupled with Garcia's renovations to the front desk and guest rooms, Melchiorri's goal is to turn this struggling oceanfront hotel into a world-class destination resort.

Upcoming episodes feature major transformations that help put hotels back into the black, including: Bromley Sun Lodge, Peru, Vermont; Delaware Water Gap Country Club & Inn, Delaware Water Gap, Penn.; Glacier Bay Lodge, Yakutat, Alaska; The Hotel Leger, Mokelumne Hill, Calif.; Maui Sunseeker Resort, Maui, Hawaii; Palm Springs Travelodge, Palm Springs, Calif.; Periwinkle Inn, Cape May, N.J.; Telemark Resort & Convention Center, Cable, Wis.; Triangle T Historic Ranch, Dragoon, Ariz.; and more.
