LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- TBS has given the axe to its freshman series "Wedding Band," the network has confirmed to HollywoodReporter.com.
The project, from FremantleMedia and Mike Tollin Productions, was ordered to series back in May of 2011 but didn't make it to the schedule until this past November, where it was saddled with the Saturday, 10:00/9:00c slot.
Through nine airings, "Band" averaged 1.219 million viewers and a 0.5 rating among adults 18-49 - well short of fellow newcomers "Sullivan & Son" (2.203 million viewers, 0.9 adults 18-49 rating) and "Men at Work" (2.014 million viewers, 1.0 adults 18-49 rating), both of which aired on Thursday nights at 10:00/9:00c.
Darin Moiselle and Josh Lobis were behind the hour, which starred Brian Austin Green, Derek Miller, Harold Perrineau, Jenny Wade, Kathryn Fiore, Melora Hardin and Peter Cambor.
