WHY WATCH CELEBS KILL IT ON THE CARPET WHEN YOU CAN WATCH REAL KILLERS ON INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY'S "REDRUM" MARATHON?

Special Encore Presentation of Upside Down Murder Mystery That Slays Even the Most Oscar-Worthy Fashions From 5-8PM ET

(Silver Spring, MD) - This year at the Academy Awards, the red carpet may be swathed in killer looks but Investigation Discovery will be sending killer stares in their direction. Skip the feisty fashionista pre-show for a marathon of REDRUM, featuring fatal tales told in reverse and inspired by cult classic film "The Shining." Back-to-back episodes air Sunday, February 24 from 5-8PM ET on Investigation Discovery.

REDRUM proves the end is just the beginning with a storytelling technique that flips the script to open at the root of a crime. Moving in reverse from the time of death, REDRUM retraces steps to uncover intersecting and often complex events and relationships, ultimately revealing the killer and their motive.

The marathon schedule is as follows:

· 5 PM ET - Fatal Fortune Reno cab driver Pam Carter is discovered by her husband suffocated to death in their one-bedroom apartment. Her place has been tossed, leading investigators to believe the perpetrators were looking for something. She had been spending her time at the local casinos and was down on her luck until a chance encounter changed her fortune. Only secrets from the victim's past can reveal the truth. Location: Reno, NV

· 5:30 PM ET - A Deadly Beat When jazz drummer Tim Wicks doesn't show up for a gig in Canada his friends become deeply concerned. Not long after, Wicks' dismembered body is discovered scattered around Michigan. The investigation turns up few leads until an elaborately constructed faade begins to crumble, revealing a couple on the run with a motive for murder. Locations: Michigan; Hales Corner, WI; Fargo, ND

· 6 PM ET - An Almost Perfect Plan A police officer finds his brother, Jerry Haney, murdered on New Year's Day in rural Alabama. Detectives quickly uncover a trio of possible suspects all related to Haney, but why would anyone in this close-knit family want him dead? Location: Talladega, AL

· 6:30 PM ET - Scouts Honor A silent 911 call alerts police to a triple homicide in rural Arkansas. The Stocks family is discovered by police murdered in their kitchen. But when their son Heath, a local boy scout, is discovered missing, the horrific crime takes a new twist. Location: Lonoke, AR

· 7 PM ET - Triangle of Death Recently divorced factory worker, Raleigh "Dean" Herzog, is found stabbed to death in his home after a violent struggle. Investigators must untangle the victim's complicated relationships to discover a lovesick motive. Location: Wonder Lake, IL

· 7:30 PM ET - Twisted Ties When truck driver James Kelly is shot to death, it's easy to point the finger at a vengeful member of his family. But police soon realize that their suspect is covering up for someone, and find themselves untangling a web of bribery and betrayal. Location: Cushing, TX
