VH1 Hits a High Note in "Off Pitch"

Premieres Wednesday April 17th at 10PM ET/PT

SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 11, 2013 -- VH1 is warming up our jazz hands to prepare for our newest comedic reality series, "Off Pitch," premiering Wednesday, April 17th at 10pm ET/PT. "Off Pitch" follows a young adult show choir in Wisconsin called the Grand River Singers (GRS) where cliques, glittered jackets, jealousy, show tunes and love all blend together in this quirky musical community. What some may say they lack in talent and execution, no one can deny they make up for in pure determination and heart. They have just one goal: to take the Grand River Singers out of La Crosse, Wisconsin and onto a much larger stage like... the Great Wisconsin Cheese Festival or the Sheboygan Bratwurst Festival.

"'Off Pitch' is reality comedy gold. The Grand River Singers are just so authentic and passionate in their pure love for music and performing that you can't help but cheer them on," said Jeff Olde , VH1's Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development.

Partners Rob and Tim, and founders of GRS, lead the group of 20-somethings and view them as their own kids. Whether they love to sing, dance or just wear feather boas, each member of GRS whole-heartedly believes that in order to get ahead in life, all you need are a pair of shiny tap shoes, a big voice and a well-rehearsed routine. But with big talent comes even bigger egos. They'll stop at nothing to win the power ballad solo or be the featured breakout dancer in the La Crosse's coveted Oktoberfest Parade. Join us for a real look into both the performance and backstage lives of this tight-knit musical family.

Will they be able to set aside their differences, perfect their numbers, and perform before the largest audiences they've ever known? Harmony, talent and friendship have never been more "Off Pitch."

"Off Pitch" is executive produced by Colleen Needles Steward , Tim Hamilton , Shannon Keenan Demers and Marilyn Wilson for Tremendous! Entertainment, Inc. Executive producing for VH1 are Jill Holmes , Tom Huffman and Jeff Olde .

VH1 connects viewers to the music, artists and pop culture that matter to them most with series, specials, live events, exclusive online content and public affairs initiatives. VH1 is available in over 99 million households in the U.S. VH1 also has an array of digital services including VH1 Classic and VH1 Soul. Connect with VH1 at www.VH1.com.
