TV ONE SETS SECOND SEASON PREMIERE OF "R&B DIVAS ATLANTA" WEDNESDAY, MAY 1, 10PM/ET

TV One Celebrates Second Season Premiere with "Destination Divas" Month Featuring Two New Originals Specials

SILVER SPRING, MD, March, 25, 2013 - TV One's popular reality series R&B Divas Atlanta returns to the network for its second season premiere Wednesday, May 1, 10PM/ET. In celebration, TV One is branding the month of April "Destination Divas" and will pack the network's schedule with a mix of new original specials, iconic movies and sitcoms, plus encores of R&B Divas season one.

"R&B Divas Atlanta has quickly become one of the strongest performers in our originals portfolio," remarked Maureen Guthman, SVP Program Strategy and Acquisitions. "With Destination Divas, our goal is to extend the entertainment factor for our viewers with a month devoted to content reflecting Diva appeal as well as drive tune-in to the R&B Divas Atlanta second season premiere."

Specials and airdates are as follows:

SATURDAY, APRIL 13, 9PM/ET:

R&B Divas Pre Party - Hosted by renowned comedic personality Joe Claire, the one-hour special will bring viewers up-to-date with current activities of the R&B Divas Atlanta cast and provide a preview of the upcoming season premiering Wednesday, May 1. Additionally, the hour will feature a collection of the most popular music videos from the current cast of R&B Divas Atlanta: Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert-Daniels, Syleena Johnson, Monifah Carter, Keke Wyatt, and introduce its two newest members, LaTocha Scott and Angie Stone.

SATURDAY, APRIL 20, 8PM/ET:

Diana Ross: Live in Central Park - An encore presentation of the iconic performance that cemented Diana Ross' status as a legend. In 1983, Diana made history when she took the stage in New York's Central Park despite a relentless downpour. In one of music's most memorable moments, Diana pushed on for much of the set, urging the drenched crowd to stay with her. Eventually the torrential storm put an end to the performance, but not before a promise to return the next day. True to her word, Diana performed the entire concert again on July 22nd for the people of New York.

SATURDAY, APRIL 27, 9PM/ET:

Top R&B Divas of All Time - A one hour special highlighting some of the most accomplished and beloved singers in R&B history. The program features a diverse, eclectic group of music, cultural and fashion pundits celebrating ten of the most impressive female vocalists and performers of our time with a fast-paced mix of memorable clips as well as commentary from members of the cast of TV One's R&B Divas Atlanta and L.A.
