LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Less than 24 hours after announcing its 2013-14 season lineup, NBC has already locked in a few premiere dates.
NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt revealed during this morning's upfront presentation that "The Voice" will kick off its fifth cycle - featuring the presumed returns of Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera - on Monday, September 23. Cycle six then will roll out on February 24, the night after the closing ceremonies for the Winter Olympics.
February 24 will also see the official debuts of "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" and "Late Night with Seth Meyers" at 11:35/10:35c and 12:35/11:35c, respectively. Leading up to its formal roll out, look for special editions of "Fallon" during the second week of NBC's Olympics coverage.
Meanwhile, NBC also confirmed "Million Second Quiz" will debut on Monday, September 9 with episodes (times TBA) airing every weeknight for two weeks.
And finally, the network's live telecast of "The Sound of Music" - originally announced nearly a year ago - has been set for Thursday, December 5. Carrie Underwood stars as Maria von Trapp while Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are among the executive producers.
