ABC Drops "Family Tools" for "Modern Family" Repeat This Wednesday
The short-lived comedy will instead resume new episodes next Wednesday.

Tony Award-Winning Film and Stage Actor Matthew Broderick ("Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "The Producers") Guest Stars

"Mistery Date" - When Claire takes Manny and Luke along to Alex's academic decathlon for the weekend, Phil attempts to throw together a boys' night at the house, inviting a fellow Bulldog alum (guest star Matthew Broderick) he just met -- but their wires are definitely crossed. Meanwhile, the pressure is on for Alex at the decathlon, Manny and Luke bar mitzvah hop at the hotel trying to find a cute girl, and Cam and Mitch arrange for quite the surprise baby gift for Jay and Gloria, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, MAY 22 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. (Rebroadcast. OAD: 11/14/12)

"Modern Family" stars Ed O'Neill as Jay, Julie Bowen as Claire, Ty Burrell as Phil, Sofía Vergara as Gloria, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Sarah Hyland as Haley, Nolan Gould as Luke, Ariel Winter as Alex, Rico Rodriguez as Manny and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons as Lily.

Guest cast includes Matthew Broderick as Dave, Tracy A. Leigh as mother, Sophia O'Neill as girl no. 1, Rebecca Mazouz as girls no. 2, Gina Garcia Sharp asw, Cynthia Frost as older woman, Kevin Cotteleer as Dr. Jensen, Chris Prinzo as Huggy Bunny, Theo Wilson as security guard, Logan Riley Hassel as Manny's crush, Jacob Timothy Manown as contestant, Tom Costello as moderator and Josh Jones as clerk.

"Mistery Date" was written by Jeffrey Richman and directed by Beth McCarthy Miller.

""Modern Family" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's Selected HD Format, with 5.1 channel surround sound. This program carries a TV-PG,L parental guideline.
