As U.S. audiences continue to look for their next international binge, Viaplay U.S. continues to expand beyond Nordic noir with a curated summer slate of premium European exclusives. Coming off an impressive Spring with the U.S. debuts of Ukrainian crime drama Double Stakes, German conspiracy thriller Dangerous Truth, record-setting Polish action film Scarborn, and award-winning Nordic Noir Black Sands' final season, streaming service Viaplay is excited for its summer slate featuring a modern Greek noir thriller, an award-winning Portuguese crime drama, and a Swedish family dramedy.

Save Me - A modern Greek crime noir thriller seen on Netflix Greece

U.S. Debut: June 18, 2026

Set in the atmospheric landscapes of northern Greece, this gripping psychological thriller follows Nikol (Danai Skiadi), a young woodcarver who returns to her hometown in Komotini for her father's memorial - and shortly thereafter her younger sister mysteriously vanishes. As she begins to unravel the unsettling circumstances surrounding the disappearance, Nikol teams up with a determined local detective (Elena Mavridou) whose own demons mirror the town's buried secrets. Together they navigate a web of lies, trauma, and long-suppressed truths hidden beneath the surface of an outwardly quiet community.

What begins as a missing-persons search quickly spirals into a tense search for a serial killer, forcing both Nikol and the detective to confront guilt, corruption, and the dangerous consequences of uncovering the past. As time runs out, the investigation exposes just how far people will go to protect their own - and how darkness can thrive in the most ordinary places.

Based on the popular novel of the same name by author Dimitris Simos, who is also the head writer for the TV series.

(Crime Drama, 8 x 45 mins episodes, Greek with English subtitles)

Home in You (Halva Halva) - Swedish Family Dramedy

U.S. Debut: Thursday, July 30

Viaplay Original Series

Created by a team with deeply personal connections to the story, Home in You offers an intimate and authentic portrayal of a family caught between two worlds.

The Haddad family find themselves on the verge of eviction as gentrification pushes them out of their Stockholm suburb. As they scramble to find a new home during an idyllic Swedish summer, the family clashes with each other and with their surroundings. The immigrant parents from Lebanon strive to understand their more assimilated children, who grapple with the challenges of adolescence and dual identities. Amidst this turmoil, they embark on a journey of self-discovery, seeking not only a new home in Sweden but also a sense of belonging within their own family unit.

Home In You sheds light on societal problems surrounding immigration and gentrification, delicately balancing serious topics with humor and warmth.

Lead actors, directors and co-head writers Alexander Abdallah (Paradis City, Snabba Cash) and Mustafa Al-Mashhadani (Thin Blue Line) take on roles unlike any they've played before, while the casting process, spanning both traditional searches and street casting, brings fresh, authentic voices to the screen. The ensemble also includes Isa Aouifia (Taelgia, Ronja, the Robber's Daughter, Honour), Helen Al-Janabi (Beartown, Top Dog), Jenna Chaaraoui (JJ+E), and Matteus Gezer.

(6 x 32', Swedish and Arabic with English subtitles)

Irreversible - Portuguese Crime Drama

U.S. Debut: Thursday, August 13, 2026

"One of the 10 most anticipated new dramatic series of the year" (MIPTV)

* Nominated for 'Best Series' at the Portuguese equivalent to the Oscars (Sophia Awards) and winner of 'Best Fiction/Entertainment' at the Portuguese Golden Globes as well as nominated for 'Best Actress'.

A haunting crime drama where truth comes at a cost

A tormented psychologist, Júlia Mendes, and an inspector, Pedro Sousa, unite to solve a brutal homicide involving a young girl in a coastal town. As they unravel the crime, they battle their own personal demons and strive to keep their lives intact. In a town where everyone hides something and is willing to do anything to protect their loved ones, the quest for truth may cost more than Júlia imagines. Once the secrets of the past are revealed, everything becomes irreversible - and the central question remains: Does love justify everything?

Irreversible offers a compelling mix of character-driven storytelling and suspense. Praised for its emotional depth and visual intensity, the series resonates far beyond its Portuguese setting, making it a powerful and universally relevant story.

Directed and written by Bruno Gascon, one of Portugal's most acclaimed filmmakers (Shadow, Carga, Boy), Irreversible brings together a powerful ensemble cast led by Portuguese Golden Globes 'Best Actress' nominee Margarida Vila-Nova (Pages of Life, The Good Girls Club) and award-winning actor Rafael Morais (Magellan, A Cup of Coffee and New Shoes On).

(Crime Drama | 6 x 50' | Portuguese with English subtitles)
