HR (Lifetime; W: Glenn Porter; D: Darren Star) - Darren Star ("Sex and the City") has signed on to direct and executive produce the Alicia Silverstone-led drama pilot, about the uptight Director of Human Resources for a global company who - after a head injury alters her outlook on life - throws standard corporate practices out the window and inspires the business to strive for new ambitions and profits. He'll work from a script by Glenn Porter who serves as a co-executive producer alongside Michael Lohmann. (Deadline.com)
 QUARRY (Cinemax; W: Graham Gordy & Michael D. Fuller; D: John Hillcoat) - Kurt Yaeger ("Sons of Anarchy") has scored a role on the drama pilot, about "a Marine sniper of the same name (Logan Marshall-Green) who returns home from Vietnam in 1973 to find out that he has been shunned by those he loves and publicly demonized." He'll play McCurly, "an interesting guy who crosses paths with Quarry in his new job." Skipp Sudduth, Noah Taylor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Stellan Skarsgard, Nikki Amura-Bird and Jamie Hector also star. (THR.com)
 WAYWARD PINES (FOX/FX Productions; W: Chad Hodge; D: M. Night Shyamalan) - Carla Gugino ("Political Animals") has joined the cast of the limited series, about Ethan Burke (Matt Dillon), a Secret Service Agent who drives to the bucolic town of Wayward Pines, ID, to find two missing federal agents. She'll play Kate Hewson, Ethan's former partner/love interest at the Secret Service. Melissa Leo also stars in the project. (Deadline.com)
