FOX SPORTS SALUTES OUR TROOPS DURING SPECIAL THANKSGIVING DAY BROADCAST

FOX NFL SUNDAY To Broadcast Live Segments From Fort Irwin, Calif.

Jay Glazer, Eddie George, Cleatus the Robot and the FOX Sports Girls Honor America's Best

New York - The NFL on FOX gives thanks in a special way this Thanksgiving, showing appreciation to our nation's military with a visit to Fort Irwin National Training Center in Fort Irwin, Calif. NFL insider Jay Glazer, former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL and college football analyst Eddie George, the FOX Sports Girls from the Arizona, San Diego and West regions and FOX Sports robot Cleatus are on hand for live segments during the FOX NFL SUNDAY special edition pregame show and game broadcast on Thursday, Nov. 28 (11:30 AM ET).

"FOX NFL SUNDAY has had a long and storied tradition of honoring all the brave men and women who serve our great country," said FOX NFL SUNDAY coordinating producer Bill Richards. "This day and time of year marks another opportunity for us to give thanks and show these individuals how much we appreciate all they do for us."

The special Thanksgiving edition of the FOX NFL SUNDAY pregame show features several live look-ins to Glazer, George, the FOX Sports Girls and servicemen and women at Fort Irwin. In addition, FOX Sports Arizona's Danielle, Mallory and Sarah, FOX Sports San Diego's Brie and Katie and FOX Sports West's Asha and Taylor arrive on Wednesday, Nov. 27, to participate in the 11th ACR Spouses Spur Ride with the military spouses located at the base. Footage of the challenge will air on FOX Sports Regional Networks.

The National Training Center at Fort Irwin has trained approximately 50,000 service members from all branches of the military each year for the past decade. The base became the Army's National Training Center in 1979 and since 1981 has operated under the U.S. Army Forces Command. Today it is the nation's premier military training center.

The NFL on FOX has celebrated our nation's military on Thanksgiving Day for several years, from inviting service members into the Los Angeles studio to traveling to bases across the globe, including this year's stop in the middle of the Mojave Desert. In recent years, Glazer has visited bases in Afghanistan and South Korea for the program. FOX Sports' Thanksgiving Day NFL coverage begins with the pregame show at 11:30 AM ET, followed by the Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions at 12:30 PM ET.
